The subtitle reads,

In an exclusive interview, Vivian Jenna Wilson said her father’s recent statements, including that she is “not a girl,” inspired her to speak out: “I’m not just gonna let that slide.”

Just what we would expect from someone who lives that far up Trump's ass.

  2. by oldedude on November 24, 2024 10:47 am
It's really sad that any parent would do that to their child. I know it happens way too often, which only complicates an already complicated situation.

  3. by HatetheSwamp on November 24, 2024 10:51 am

Elon Musk could never be nominated to be Father of the Year.

Still, many of his observations may be justified, particularly that he was tricked into authorizing the treatment for his 16 year-old child... something that should be outlawed, IMO.

  4. by Donna on November 24, 2024 10:58 am

Corporate mogul Musk, the wealthiest person alive, doesn't carefully read documents he signs? Wow.

  5. by HatetheSwamp on November 24, 2024 11:19 am

No. I think he was lied to and, being an uninvolved father, made a poor choice for his son.

Just so you understand, nonMAGA GOPs, generally, admire Musk's commitment to Bill of Rights liberties but we don't admire the way he's lived his private life.

  6. by Donna on November 24, 2024 11:20 am

It"s fortunate that Vivian Jenna Musk was able to receive puberty blockers during her adolescence because that goes a long way towards passing as a woman, especially regarding her voice.

  7. by oldedude on November 24, 2024 11:26 am
Lead- I think that's a good possibility. Especially if it just landed in his lap. An over-reaction. Still not good, and I would have really tried to clean it up with the kid as soon and as often as possible.

  8. by HatetheSwamp on November 24, 2024 11:35 am

    Donna,

That's how you enable grooming. I'll always disagree with you on this.

  9. by Indy! on November 24, 2024 11:59 am

No. I think he was lied to and, being an uninvolved father, made a poor choice for his son.

So he was "tricked" into signing the papers? Or he just did not give a shit until finding out his "son" was actually a woman and he might be embarrassed by it somewhere down the road? What kind of "father" allows his child to have an operation without fully understanding what is happening during that operation? Oh right - Leon and Pharaoh Fatass.

GOP... the "family values" party. 😂😂😂

  10. by Donna on November 24, 2024 12:01 pm

Hts, do you also disagree with routine medical procedures like tonsilectomies because once in a blue moon the patient dies? How about childhood vaccines which sometimea but very rarely cause the child's death? Should we cancel childhood vaccines altogether because once on a while they injure or kill the child?

  11. by Donna on November 24, 2024 12:04 pm

Indy - Elon didn't sign for an operation. Apparently it was for his transdaughter to be put on puberty blockers.

  12. by Indy! on November 24, 2024 1:18 pm

Minor difference. Does a parent allow a child to take medicine he doesn't know what it's for? Especially if he had to sign a consent form? The dude doesn't care about his kids - only money. Just like Mayor Shitstain.

  13. by Donna on November 24, 2024 1:37 pm

I wanted to stress that point because there's a lot of disinfo going around about that, some of which Trump spread, like his absurd insistence that schools perform sex reassignment surgeries on students. He told that tale at several campaign rallies. Actually SRS is never performed on minors. Even as an adult, I had to jump through several hoops before I was appproved for SRS, including signed letters from two psychiatrists, which are medical doctors.

Every wingnut I talked to before the election brought up the thing about Kamala and trans folks in prisons. The Ds need to learn how to shut people up. If you want trans rights - you know you're never getting them with the Rs. And if you make a big deal about it with the Ds so they have to continually touch on it - they're going to lose every election from here to 2124. I know you don't want to hear it, but it would be better for the Ds AND trans folks if the Ds totally ignored the issue even if it meant losing every trans vote. It's a deal killer, Donna.

    Thank god. Somebody gets it.

Back around the time Kamala Harris was committing political suicide by backing every nutty item on the far left wish list, Mark Lilla wrote a book called "The Once and Future Liberal," warning Democrats and liberals to shut up about identity politics and other divisive topics. His point was that Democrats first job was to get elected, focusing on mainstream problems that most people face, like the economy. Then, once they got elected, they could work behind the scenes to help liberals advance their priorities on social issues, mostly by installing friendly judges.

Instead, woke progressives forced Democrats to take a purity test. And this is the result. A far-right Supreme Court that will shape American life long after we're all dead. Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito will step down and be replaced with 35-year-old right-wing extremists.

What's going to happen to trans folks then?

I see a couple guys in my community who are probably trans, going through gender issues. I am so grateful that my kids never went through the same thing, not out of shame but because it has to be a hard fucking life. And it's about to get worse for them.

Like everyone else, trans people need basic legal protections against discrimination in housing, in employment. A few years ago, a local school forced trans kids to read the Bible. That sounds like harassment to me, but my guess is a 6-3 or 7-2 right wing Supreme Court majority may think it's OK.

Few people really understand gender dysphoria, but most would back basic protections for trans people. Why couldn't we have just left it at that? Instead, we had trans activists pushing for the most extreme positions -- tax-payer funded sex change operations, ripping up Title IX protections and supporting male sex athletes in female sports, allowing any man who claims to be a woman to enter women's restrooms. Most people are reasonable, and these extreme positions sound like madness. Unfortunately, a lot of Democrats, like Harris, were too intimidated to stand up to this bullying.

If you're going to pressure Democratic candidates into taking extreme positions, we're going to be in the minority for a long time, and that's not going to help any of us.

Your problem ain't Trump. Trump's just following along with the GOP mob.

In fact, it's not even "fascistic and disgusting" yada yada theistic MAGA mommies and daddies and nannas and pappaps yada yada.

It's the Old-school feminists who are becoming increasingly influential and organized on the issue.

And, of course, the anti-TQ LGB groups and activists who are on fire about abusing minors who are too young to make adult decisions.

Try following GAG founder Jaimee Michell on X posting on the pressure she faced as a young lesbian to think she was really trans.

The times have EFFINchanged! Past tense!

  19. by Indy! on November 25, 2024 9:17 am

Thanks for the support, Robert. That's exactly what I'm talking about. If the Ds really want to win (and I question that), what they should do is pick 10 issues that affect everyone - left, right, center. Every issue must be a problem for everyone on the political spectrum. Then push those 10 ideas to the exclusion of everything else. Let everyone know the Ds are fighting for what EVERYONE wants. Give the package deal a name and pledge to pass that part of the agenda first and THEN address some of these side issues.

  20. by HatetheSwamp on November 25, 2024 9:46 am

"If the Ds really want to win (and I question that), what they should do is pick 10 issues that affect everyone..."

Newt's Contract with America. It worked like a charm.

  21. by Indy! on November 25, 2024 9:49 am

Yep - got him to step down in 2(?) years? Worked like a charm for the Ds. Think you can get the orange ass monkey to pledge the same sort untenable policies America hates? Oh wait... Project 2025. That's right. Your party will be cleared out of Congress in 2 years.

I agree with much of that... especially the GOP being kicked out in two years.

I'm not a Gingrich fan. I think it was more than two years that he stepped down.

From Donna's link - Leon's daughter talking about him...

“I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form,” she said in the court filing.

The Republican Party... the "family values" party. 😂

  24. by Donna on November 25, 2024 10:05 am

ROB3RT and Indy!: I think the Dems were concerned about losing the young vote, Young Americans are MUCH more transgender friendly than older Americans.

As for providing sex reassignment surgery to inmates, Kamala Harris simply supports existing law. SRS is seen by the law as just as medically necessary as a heart bypass operation. Both can be fatal if left untreated. I had to provide two letters from psychiatrists to be approved for SRS because transgenderism is a medical issue.

  25. by Donna on November 25, 2024 10:08 am

I'll bet, though, that very few inmates if any have ever received SRS because according to Standards of Care, you have to live as the preferred sex full-time for a full year first before receiving SRS. In a prison situation, unless the person were kept in solitary confinement, that would be unworkable.

  26. by HatetheSwamp on November 25, 2024 10:09 am

"SRS is seen by the law as just as medically necessary as a heart bypass operation."

    For now.

  27. by Donna on November 25, 2024 10:15 am

You would love to see SRS outlawed, wouldn't you?

  28. by HatetheSwamp on November 25, 2024 10:31 am

    No.

    Why would you think that?

What I believe, based, on the number of people who say that it was foisted on them and are ruined forever, is that it's done far too quickly.

  29. by Donna on November 25, 2024 10:35 am

What do you mean by too quickly? It took me several years to get SRS.

  30. by Donna on November 25, 2024 10:37 am

Btw, SRS is never "foisted" on anyone. It's only performed on adults and only on those who desire it.

  31. by HatetheSwamp on November 25, 2024 10:40 am

Tell that to Chloe Cole... and thousands of others.

  32. by Indy! on November 25, 2024 11:07 am

Donna - nobody is saying abandon trans issues. We're saying it's more detrimental to the candidates than helpful to put it out front. Yes, maybe it brings out more young people - but on the other side it also brings out far more Brown Shorts too (call it the "Hillary Effect™"). I was not being cheeky or exaggerating when I said EVERY wingnut I talked too that was the FIRST thing they brought up - the thing about Kamala "paying for sex change operations in prison". Yes, it's a Fox lie, but when you see a candidate say something like that in a carefully edited video - people believe it and it makes them want to vote even if they weren't planning on it.

  33. by HatetheSwamp on November 25, 2024 11:45 am

Trump may have won the election because Kammy didn't have the expected huge margin among suburban women because many women cared more about protecting their daughters from biological males in formerly female safe spaces than so-called bodily autonomy.

They were convinced that Kammy does care more about the/them...

  34. by Donna on November 25, 2024 11:48 am

Indt, low-info voters will always be bamboozled. I'm tired of the circular firing squad Dems have formed since Kamala lost. Note that the GOP never does that. The Dems lost simply because liw-info voters blamed the high price of consumer goods on Biden, and even with that, Kamala only lost the popular vote by 1.6%.

I think we're going to see Democrats concentrate a lot more than they have on reaching those low-info voters by utilizing social media sites where low-info voters hang out. I can even see MSNBC transitioning to a non-political format.

  35. by HatetheSwamp on November 25, 2024 11:54 am

"I have never considered myself a feminist, but the trans movement’s erasure of women has turned me into one. Strange times." -Jaimee Michell, GAG Founder

Michell is ever more fiercely opposed to the trans "movement."

"Indt, low-info voters will always be bamboozled. I'm tired of the circular firing squad Dems have formed since Kamala lost. Note that the GOP never does that."

That's because the GOP is the home of openness and inclusion, acceptance, diversity, tolerance, freedom and love. You should try it.

"The Dems lost simply because liw-info voters blamed..."

Baha. You got your @$$€s kicked but it's only because you are smart, keehee ha!

  37. by Donna on November 25, 2024 12:20 pm

Hts, how many times do I have to explain to you that it's not about how smart people are. We're all low-info about many topics. Some people are low-info about politics because they aren't interested in it and they don't follow it, but many of those same people vote, especially in presidential elections. My parents were like that. They NEVER watched politics on TV, but they always voted in presidential elections. My mom didn't vote for John McCain even though she was a registered Republican, and all because she didn't like one of his facial expressions - swear to God.

  38. by HatetheSwamp on November 25, 2024 12:44 pm

But, if people were informed, Kammy'd be President-elect.

  39. by Donna on November 25, 2024 12:54 pm

I've seen interviews with MAGAs who didn't even know that Trump was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying documents or is an adjudicated sex offender.

There are stats which have revealed that people who don't follow politics voted for Trump by a 2-1 margin. So yes, I think that if those people hadn't voted at all, Harris would've won.

  40. by Donna on November 25, 2024 1:09 pm

  41. by Indy! on November 25, 2024 6:17 pm

Your answer is just more of the same, Donna. I've seen it all my life and I'm tired of it. The Ds are complicit - they want to lose so they keep making the same "mistakes" on purpose. Nobody is watching MSNBC - there are people on the internet talking about board games with a bigger audience than that network.

  42. by HatetheSwamp on November 26, 2024 3:26 am

There are stats which have revealed that people who don't follow politics voted for Trump by a 2-1 margin.

As I've said to po and you for years, all of us wish we could be enlightened enough to be you.

One reason, IMO, common sense voters voted for Trump is because they knew that the people who oppose him are sanctimonious and effete and they didn't want four more years, pause, of you lot's candidate in charge.

    View Video

  43. by meagain on November 26, 2024 9:15 am

Common sense voters are br definition, ignorant and ill-informed. Naturally, they will vote for the one who promises the moon coated with gold leaf.

Common sense is what is used in the absence of evidence. The corollary of this is that if the majority of voters broke for Harris, logically that is where an intelligent outcome would have been.

  44. by Indy! on November 26, 2024 9:54 am

That is exactly why MSNBC kept Trump front and center on every show the last year just like they did in 2016. When "common sense" voters see his name all the time everywhere on all channels - who are they going to think is the most important candidate? What's the old adage? There's no such thing as bad press. It was estimated that the networks gave Trump $1.6 Billion worth of free exposure in 2016. My guess is the number will be even higher for 2024.

Again - the "liberal media" (like the Ds themselves) - are complicit in helping to elect these onerous candidates.
