Harry gives the money that he won in the triwizard tournament to Fred and George Weasley. He gave them the money so that they could have a joke shop. This is a bad decision. Hermione lies after the troll encounter and tells the teachers that she was in the bathroom because she thought that she could handle the troll on her own. The truth was that she was crying, and Harry and Ron came to warn her about the troll, and it was there. Harry should have told the truth before Hermione was forced to lie. Considering the fact that Mr. Dursley had no idea anyone would be able to get to the island, this was a pretty smart way for him to accomplish his goal. Umbridge's detention is disgusting and not permitted at Hogwarts. (Considering Moody couldn't turn Malfoy into a ferret.) Harry did not say anything because Umbridge had power, and he did not want her to know how much he hated it. He should have told a teacher what happened, though. At the point in the novel where this started, Dumbledore still had power and might have been able to stop her. Harry shouldn't have played the hero.
