It's getting worse and worse for the former 18 wheeler driver.

The effin WaPo is now telling the truth about his mishandling of COVID-19. Many more people have died under the flatulent fool's watch that OrangeMan's.

Remember that brainless pledge to shut down the virus!!!!!?

“We’re going from emergency to emergency. We need a strategic plan, and executing on the strategic plan and just making it happen,” said Ezekiel Emanuel, a physician and bioethicist at the University of Pennsylvania who was on Biden’s covid advisory team during the transition. “You need a general getting all this done.”

White House officials acknowledge that not enough has been done to secure tests and are scrambling to change that amid holiday travel and the onset of the highly contagious new variant. Blaming the shortage on an unforeseen omicron-driven spike in demand, they are ordering an additional half-billion rapid tests and setting up federal testing sites around the country.

Health experts estimate that billions more kits — not the half-billion ordered by the White House — will be needed if Americans are to use regular testing as a pathway for returning to normal life. The numbers add up quickly: If 330 million Americans were tested twice a week, for example, more than 2.5 billion tests would be needed each month.

“If you take a view that we’re going to need to test — probably, for most people — every day for a couple years, then you think very differently than ‘I just need to have people test themselves for the next six weeks to get through the current wave,’ ” said Bob Kocher, who served on President Barack Obama’s National Economic Council official and advised California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) on his coronavirus response.

This is a failure of imagination, and failure of leadership is in large part why we’re here,” said Leana Wen, a public health professor at George Washington University and Washington Post contributing columnist. “The Biden administration did a great job with vaccines, but they should have done just as much with testing. I’m very disappointed by their lack of focus on testing earlier, because we saw this one coming.”

“One can make a strong argument that we are at war, but for the White House to recommit to a wartime position, that’s really hard to do,” Kocher said. “It’s going to end in people saying, ‘Why didn’t you win the war the first time?’ It’s hard to go back. But biology is hard.”

There's much more in the article.

What's clear to me is that Biden has done nothing about COVID other than to distribute the vaccines developed under Trump. Joe ran on beating the virus. This failure will, in short time, make the debacles of the border and Afghanistan seem like Churchillian victories.

We warned you Blue MAGA progressives. Elect a geezer whose brain is clearly shot and we'll all suffer.

Joe Biden lacks the strength of character and the imagination for this task and everyone who voted for him could see that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" was not up to the job.

This is your fault! We're blaming you, not him.

Neither Sheri nor I have ever been tested.

As you know, I was tested very recently...because I was experiencing Omicron symptoms...and we had to search for hours on line to find a place to be tested within two or three days. That was nearly a week ago!

My guess, based on how rapidly Omicron is spreading, it's going to be hell in a few days.

I'm not kidding that I believe, for many, this will seem to be a greater disaster that Afghanistan was.

Time will tell, but there's reason for optimism because early reports indicate that although Omicron spreads much easier than original flavor COVID-19 and earlier variants, it seems to be milder.

I don't think COVID testing will make much difference.

We spent the day with friends. He's a family medicine doctor with a mostly elderly patient population; she's a nurse at the local college. The both said the only patients who ask to be tested for COVID are people who are already vaccinated. They want to be checked to be sure they are not spreading COVID. Our nurse friend said only one student-patient she saw tested positive. Our doctor friend has had some positive cases, but most were negative.

The unvaccinated--no surprise--don't care if they are infecting others. They barely believe COVID is contagious or even real. So they aren't interested in getting tested.

The unvaccinated call my doctor friend, and according to him, saying "doc, I've got a bad cough I can't shake, you got anything I can take?" His stock reply is "first get tested for COVID and call me with the results". They nearly always end up in the hospital with COVID.

Oy, Curt, you must know a lot of people!..
All the effin unvaxxed people in the world!

I know unvaxxed people who are medical professionals who work in hospitals. I'll own to not fully understanding their decision not to be vaxxed but, they don't care about infecting people?, uh uh.

    HtS,
Do the math. Any healthcare worker working in hospital who is unvaccinated is not concerned about the very real possibility that they could infect people who are already immunocompromised. Keep in mind that these unvaccinated health care workers are coming into constant contact with the COVID patients who are filling up the hospitals.

I expect that if any reporting or polls are done it will prove the accuracy of my friends' experience and my claim that the unvaccinated won't be the ones getting COVID tests.
