Here are the polls collected by 538 taken since Biden withdrew. They are looking good for Harris and the Democrats. "More" includes Kennedy, Stein and West even though they are not on all or even many state ballots. Last I looked, Kennedy was on six state ballots. Oddly the polls don't include the Libertarian, Chase Oliver, who is on all or nearly all the state ballots.

The big news here - which I guarantee the pundits won't catch onto until this post makes it to their respective desks - is no matter what anyone thinks about the numbers, one thing is crystal clear... Trump's expected bumps from both the RNC convention AND the (alleged) "assASSination" attempt were totally neutralized when Joe stepped down and Kamala stepped up.

You are absolutely correct about the usual RNC bump being neutralized by the recent news. Now the DNC will hold it's convention. Trump will need to get himself indicted on some new crime if he hopes to counteract Kamala's convention bump. Btw, Trump's lawsuit against ABC News and George Stefanopolis for saying Trump was found liable for rape is going forward a judge just ruled. Trump can proudly claim he was found liable for sexual abuse not rape.

This is top story currently on the NY Times from page online.

Harris Narrows Gap Against Trump, Times/Siena Poll Finds
In a survey taken after President Biden stepped aside, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are locked in a tight race separated by a single percentage point among likely voters.

[Harris's] swift reassembling of the Democratic coalition appeared to help narrow Mr. Trump’s significant advantage over Mr. Biden of only a few weeks ago. Ms. Harris was receiving 93 percent support from Democrats, the same share that Mr. Trump was getting from Republicans.

Overall, Mr. Trump leads Ms. Harris 48 percent to 47 percent among likely voters in a head-to-head match. That is a marked improvement for Democrats when compared to the Times/Siena poll in early July that showed Mr. Biden behind by six percentage points, in the aftermath of the poor debate performance that eventually drove him from the race.

    pb'll repeat.

Kammy'll win the popular vote. But, living in a purple state, as I do, it seems to me that she's going to have too much trouble shedding her progressive skin.

    We'll see.

You live in the red part of that state - rendering your opinion useless. That means you can air it on Fox anytime you'd like - but legitimate media won't touch it with a 10ft pole.
