It's not debatable. The Trump campaign is designed to appeal to racists.

Former Republican Vice President Dick Cheney says he'll vote for Harris
Former Vice President Dick Cheney, one of the most prominent Republicans in the last half-century, announced Friday will be crossing party lines this election and voting for Vice President Kamala Harris, contending former President Donald Trump "can never be trusted with power again."

"In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump. He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him," he said in a statement.

"As citizens, we each have a duty to put country above partisanship to defend our Constitution. That is why I will be casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris."

So will his daughter Liz vote for Harris. Mike Pence previously announced he could not in good conscience vote for Trump.

The Cheney name is synonymous with conservatism. Father and daughter put country ahead of party. If you are a conflicted Republican, you also can put your country ahead of your party (which is not the party you once knew) by voting for Harris.

The Cheneys are conservative on issue after issue. They have deep philosophical differences with Democrats. Like many conservative Republicans, they probably believe that liberal Democratic policies will hurt our economy, our security and our culture.

But they believe Trump will hurt America more.

The damage Trump will do to America is deeper, more fundamental. By endorsing Harris, I think the Cheneys and like-minded conservatives believe whatever "damage" Harris and the Democrats do can be undone in four years, by electing a traditional Republican, like Nikki Haley. But the damage that would occur from another Trump term would take longer to recover from.

If there were any reasonable conservatives in this forum -- and there are not, there are just two boring knee-jerk MAGA trolls -- that's the argument I would make.

    Rob3rt,

Thank you for highlighting three points pb makes repeatedly on SS.

    1. MAGA ain't conservative.
    2. The GOP is the home of openness and inclusion, acceptance, diversity, tolerance and freedom. And,
    3. It's the Dems who are the party of brainless locksteppers.

"And, I'm proud to be a (Republican) where at least I know I'm free..."

FYI, Rob3rt, pb's libertarian-ish, not conservative and he's certainly not MAGA. Remember my two words. I support Kammy. I support Kammy.

You are full of crap. You are nothing but a MAGA troll, doing what MAGA trolls do. Most of your ilk pay lip service to not liking Trump, but then you spend almost all of your time posting messages that help him and attack his opponents. You want Trump to win and Harris to lose. It is clearly the intent of nearly every message you post.

For example, you post a stupid message about Putin claiming to support Harris. Putin is a former KGB agent. He knows how to run disinformation campaigns. He knows how to manipulate people. He knows how his words will land. He knows that MAGA trolls like you will take his message and pretend that it is sincere. Only a complete moron or a troll would take Putin at his word. Which one are you?

It's funny that Putin's cookie cutter reverse psychology propaganda is working on anyone in this day and age - but leave it to the MAGAts to be the ones buying it. SImple strategy for simple people.

So far as the Cheneys? They serve themselves. DICK "nominated" himself for vice prez so he could start Gulf War I and turn his Halliburton stock into a gold mine. The only reason he's even still live is because nothing can kill evil. His daughter blows with the political winds and probably in other areas too if it helps her electability or wallet.

The real eye-opener is Pence - Trump's own guy. The one who spent 4 years up close and personal and - to his credit - had the balls to stand up to Pharoah Fatass and tell him he wasn't going to be a part of his wannabe dictator plan. If THAT guy refuses to vote for Trump? It really means something.
