This is an ABC/Ipsos poll, y'all!

"Just 6% in the latest ABC News/Ipsos poll say the pop star singer-songwriter's endorsement of Harris makes them more likely to vote for her; 13%, instead, say it makes them less likely to support her, with 81% saying it makes no difference. Those responding negatively are overwhelmingly Trump supporters, according to the poll."

She's a typical liberal extremely low information voter. She is great at business though. Do I hate her, nahhhh... I just don't care. And she kept it positive which for a hollywooder, isn't normal, so she can say what she wants.

  2. by HatetheSwamp on September 15, 2024 9:35 am

I think of her as a world-class entrepreneur. Involving herself in politics, and at this superficial level!?, IMO will only damage her brand. But, it's hers. If she never earns another cent and is a spendthrift, she's going to die rich.

I will say that Jimmy Failla and other right-wing comedians have gotten a lot of milage out of her in recent days. Baha

"Those responding negatively are overwhelmingly Trump supporters, according to the poll."

Translation - they were already voting for Trump. So that "13%" actually equals 0%. Hey - just trying to help out the board's "low information voters".

    HtS,
You are ignoring the fact that the poll you cited is of people who are ALREADY registered to vote. Four hundred thousand people clicked-through from Taylor Swift’s Instagram account to a federal voting INFORMATION site in 24 hours. In other words the Swifties are not yet registered therefore not people pollsters would contact.

"I hate Taylor Swift" -Donald Trump

Yeah. That's gonna be golden for him.

"Mom... PLEASE tell me you and dad aren't going to vote for that horrible man! You can't really vote for him, can you...?" -Nearly Every Young Girl Not Old Enough To Vote In the United States

And a hell of a lot of young women who are.

Wasn't that the point of the thread? If you're not going to vote, the thread doesn't make sense.

You have obviously never been a parent.

Curt, we just heard this morning that since the debate, voter registration has increased 400% or 500%.

Now I know that can't all be attributed to Taylor Swift's encouragement to her fans to register. A lot of it could also have to do with Kamala's spectacularly stellar performance in the debate. But still.

It will be news in several dozen countries that Trump declared that he hates Taylor Swift. She's that popular around the world.

    A Landslide I'm tellin' ya.

I didn’t think this would require further explanation. Swift credibly inspired fans to register to vote. Pollsters contact currently registered voters, and probably likely voters. Her young fans have time to register and vote.

Pollsters should have contacted UNREGISTERED as of last week voters to measure Swift’s influence.

...voter registration has increased 400% or 500%.

What's that come to? 1.2, 1.3 billion voters?

"...voter registration has increased 400% or 500%."---HtS

    Source?

The number you need to know is the registration rates before Swift's announcement. Then multiply it by four or five.

I disagree, and I'm not willing to beat this already dead horse.

That has to be bull$#!t. Registration takes place county by county in each state. There's no, as po'd say, freakin friggin EFFINway it'd be possible to know that in so short a span of time.

I'd say that po's full of it, but I'd be repeating myself, bahahahahahahahahahaha, ha.

She said that they "heard." Obviously the metaphorical Rachel... which is 100% woke propaganda.

  13. by Donna on September 15, 2024 12:12 pm

Vote.org has seen a 400 - 500% increase in voter registration since Taylor Swift directed her fans to register at that website.

  14. by Curt_Anderson on September 15, 2024 12:12 pm
    HtS,
If it's bull$#!t, it's bull$#!t you posted. I asked you for your source.

I read that 400,000 people requested registration information from a registration information site that Swift linked to. That site then has links to the state voter registration sites.

Anyway, at least one guy is worried that Taylor Swift might have helped Kamala Harris by enlisting new voters: Donald Trump says "I hate Taylor Swift!"

Let me start off with two words. I support Kammy. I support Kammy. And,...

    Yeah, Curt.

OrangeTurdBad is renowned for his carefully crafted public comments.

I will be interested to find out, after the dust settles, how many votes the Dingbat gets out of the newly registered Swifties. My guess is not many. But, who knows?

  16. by Indy! on September 15, 2024 2:12 pm

Voter registration has increased 400-500%... that means 4 to 5 times. So if 100 people registered the week before - now it would be 400 - 500. To get to "1.2 Billion" you would have needed a minimum of 300M people registering previously on Vote.org... iow more than the total number of adults in the USA.

    Repubs and math. 😂

  17. by Ponderer on September 15, 2024 2:44 pm

Look, it is quite possible if the rate that people were registering to vote was say 50,000 in a week that it could have increased to 200,000 or 250,000 in the next week, or whatever time frame they were using. That would be a 400% or 500% increase over the previous wek

It doesn't mean that 4 or 5 times the entire population of the whole country registered to vote, olde dude.

  18. by Indy! on September 15, 2024 5:27 pm

Exactly, Pondy. We also have to keep in mind that's Vote.org only. There are other ways to register - like thru your local county gov't website. If the registrations are up on Vote.org - they probably are every where else too.

  19. by oldedude on September 16, 2024 9:11 am

    Where did that come from???

Isolating this might make it more easily understandable to the members of the 21% of illiterate Americans her who could not grasp the concept.

"voter registration SINCE Taylor Swift directed her fans to register at that website."
