A headline in the New York Times yesterday was "Trump Brazenly Defies Laws in Escalating Executive Power Grab".
The subhead was "In the radical opening weeks of his second term, President Trump has appeared to feel little constraint by any need to show respect for the rule of law".

Here is the the Times' list of examples of Trump defying legal and constitutional limits.
1. Opted not to enforce TikTok ban.
2. Froze foreign aid program.
3. Froze $3 trillion in domestic grants.
4. Moved to dismantle USAID.
5. Fired 17 inspectors general.
6. Fired Democratic member of NLRB.
7. Fired federal prosecutors.
8. Challenged birthright citizenship.

MAGA and fans of authoritarianism may applaud the above actions. Regardless whether you are cheering or booing Trump, his administration is facing a bevy of lawsuits while court injunctions that are stymieing his efforts. Within the last hour it was reported that a federal judge in Massachusetts has stopped, at least temporarily, the Trump administration’s effort to get federal employees to leave their jobs by accepting delayed resignation offers.

    This one is interesting...

    3. Froze $3 trillion in domestic grants.

I'd like more info on that. The rest are not that different than what other presidents have done (just more ham-handed and propagandized by shrill media...

    OR

...obviously not going to happen (birth rights).

You can tell it's pretty much a nothing burger because they listed the TikTok thing as #1.

Ole pb's curious to see how many of these Trump wins. As you know, Curt, Fox is reporting that Trump has really sharp people working on the EOs and that they are written carefully so as to pass judicial muster.

And, the whole Federal bureaucracy is a part of the Executive Branch. Trump's the head of the Executive Branch. He can’t violate congressional mandates but, other than that...

Are you regretting yet lockstepping with the Dems and their initial attempt to renominate the Doddering Old Fool and, then, to foist Cackles Mckneepads on the electorate?

It gunna be four fun years!

You're still debating the 2024 election? Is the Homeless Hairdo afraid someone is going to uncover some more fraud on his part?
