Manchin is essentially a traditional Republican, which is what pb calls "the swamp". But Manchin is a pb dem.

The thing is, I'm certain that you offer that, IMO ridiculous, opinion in perfect sincerity and, I'd love for you to define your notion of a traditional Republican.
I was a registered Dem. I EFFIN hated GOPs for most of my more than 40 years as a Dem. And, Joe Manchin is a very close approximation of what I was.
This is why Dems can't win the Electoral College without ballot harvesting, ballot curing and diddling with the chain of custody of mail-in ballots... as they did in 020.
And, this is exactly what I mean when I say that the GOP is the home of openness and inclusion, acceptance, diversity, tolerance and freethinking.
Joe Manchin is far from being a "traditional" Republican. But, he'd fit in the huuuuuuuuuge GOP tent.
But, seriously. Explain your definition of a traditional Republican.
