Biden said, "The truth is, I'm the only president this century, this decade, that doesn't have any troops dying anywhere in the world like he did."

Biden's statement failed to acknowledge the 13 fallen service members who were killed during his administration’s Afghanistan withdrawal in Aug. 2021.

Thirteen U.S. service members, including 11 Marines, one Army special operations soldier, and one Navy corpsman, were killed in the bombing at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul.

What a horrible, demented rape of the truth!

The man's not only brainless he's heartless. Can you imagine the campaign ad coming from this!!!!

Trump told one lie after another in the debate. Joe told many. But, this one's historic.

That one will be on the commercials near Fayetteville, 29 palms, El Paso, around Camp Pendleton, etcetcetc... I'd show pictures of them. Just to drive it home.

  2. by Curt_Anderson on June 28, 2024 1:28 pm
    How is that a lie?
There were 65 military casualties in Afghanistan during Trump's four years. There were 13 deaths in Afghanistan during Biden's three and half years. There were another three killed in Jordan by a drone strike. That's 16 dead under Biden's watch, if I am off, I don't think I missed counting 50 other war deaths.

The last thing anyone cares about is Afghanistan. They didn't care when we were fighting over there - they sure don't care now.

    Curt,

Where's Trump lie about it? ---HtS

Wait, what? Which of these Trump lies are you referring to? See link.

You posted something you said Biden lied about. To show that Biden lied, you would need to show a president since 2000 who had fewer military war casualties. But you won't because Biden is correct.

    Indy,

I think members of the military, veterans and their families do... a lot! And, that's millions of people. It has nuthin to do with Afghanistan or Jordan.

  8. by oldedude on June 28, 2024 3:13 pm
Yeah, the whole thing about actual human lives escape the liberals. I think it's pretty funny though, that how much indy hates me for being in the military because "the government treats you like crap" (or something to that effect) and he glosses over the human life aspect.

Completely dismissing the fact that pedojoe completely dismissed the Pentagon and State Dept recommendations and completely had a goat fuck that anyone that had actually been in the military could understand. It was so bad that Putin put in on a continual video reel on Russian TV and described how inept and stupid pedojoe is. Putin, has not made that mistake. And I doubt if he will. No hanging off of helicopter skids or hiding in wheel wells for him!

We still don't know (well maybe the State Dept does) how many Americans were murdered after pedojoe abandoned them. And also how many Afghans were murdered that the veterans that went trying to collect the terps and others that worked with coalition forces.

  9. by Curt_Anderson on June 28, 2024 3:53 pm
OK, OD, let's consider the civilian casualties. During Trump's time in office, were around 4000 civilian casualties (deaths) per year due to combat in Afghanistan.

The UN reported on June 27, 2023 that there were 1,095 Afghan civilians killed since Taliban takeover. That's a major decrease in deaths.

Besides we are not continuing to spend beyond the $2.3 trillion on Afghanistan that we already did, (other than continuing veteran medical care, etc.)

If it has nothing to do with Afghanistan - obviously I was correct.

funny. you just made Afghan an issue, and said it was a non-issue. So which one is it?

  12. by HatetheSwamp on June 29, 2024 2:23 am

Apparently, Curt's answer to the question is that there is no lie Trump told more offensive than the mock-the-soldiers-and-rub-their-families'-faces-in-poop lie.

The point is that Joe's new schtick is that he may have mumbled some at the debate but, at least he didn't tell lies...

...and ole pb can't wait to see the ad.

AND, the ad on the despicable lie about him being endorsed by the border patrol union.

Border Patrol Union denies Biden's claim agency endorsed him: 'Never have and never will'

    nbcmontana.com

  13. by Curt_Anderson on June 29, 2024 10:20 am
Biden said they endorsed his position. It is not a stretch to say approving the position means they approve those who hold that position. The border patrol union endorsed the bipartisan (Senators Sinema and Lankford) border bill that Biden was ready to sign. Trump ordered his minions in the House to throttle it because it takes away a campaign issue for him. See endorsement link.

  14. by HatetheSwamp on June 29, 2024 10:27 am

    Bullfernerner, Curt.

He said both. And, the Border Patrol Union made that point when it declared that it never will endorse "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap."

  15. by Curt_Anderson on June 29, 2024 10:37 am
That’s good to know that the border control union endorsed Joe Biden’s position on the border which Trump ordered killed. I hope people know that! That would be a good thing to run ads on.

Now explain why is it you think Donald Trump’s own chief of staff would lie about Donald Trump denigrating fallen soldiers? We all heard what Donald Trump had to say about Senator John McCain, and how he doesn’t like soldiers who are captured by the enemy. That denigrates all POWs.

  16. by HatetheSwamp on June 29, 2024 10:39 am

    Chief of staff?

  17. by Curt_Anderson on June 29, 2024 10:46 am
    Yes, General John Kelly.

John Kelly confirms Trump privately disparaged U.S. service members and veterans
Trump called fallen soldiers "suckers” and "losers" during his presidency, according to a 2020 report in The Atlantic.

So explain why you would be surprised by this.

I despise Trump. I'd believe this if there was a reliable source, but...

  19. by Curt_Anderson on June 29, 2024 11:10 am
So you believe despicable Donald Trump. And you think that former chief of staff Gen. John Kelly, CNN, NBC, the Atlantic magazine, and all others that are reported this are the liars.

  20. by oldedude on June 30, 2024 5:52 pm
Curt- There were 65 military casualties in Afghanistan during Trump's four years. There were 13 deaths in Afghanistan during Biden's three and half years. There were another three killed in Jordan by a drone strike. That's 16 dead under Biden's watch, if I am off, I don't think I missed counting 50 other war deaths.

What was really said, according to fact checking at CNN, was he didn't have any troops die under his watch, which is wrong. It was an absolute, not a comparison value.
“Truth is, I’m the only president this century, that doesn’t have any, this decade, that doesn’t have any troops dying anywhere in the world, like he did,” Biden said.

Facts First: Biden is wrong. US service members have died abroad during his presidency, including 13 troops killed in a suicide bombing during the US withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Thirteen US service members — including 11 Marines, one Army special operations soldier, and one Navy corpsman — were killed in the suicide bombing at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. Three US soldiers were also killed this year at a small US outpost in Jordan in a one-way drone attack launched by Iran-backed militants. And two US Navy SEALs died in January off the coast of Somalia while conducting a night-time seizure of lethal aid being transported from Iran to Yemen.

Other US service members have also died abroad in training incidents, including five US soldiers who died in a helicopter crash in the eastern Mediterranean Sea in November 2023 during a routine refueling mission, and eight US airmen who died in a CV-22 Osprey crash in November 2023 off the coast of Yakushima Island, Japan.

Both Biden and Trump are senile liberal dipshits.

So you believe despicable Donald Trump. And you think that former chief of staff Gen. John Kelly, CNN, NBC, the Atlantic magazine, and all others that are reported this are the liars.

There's no audio nor video of this remark. Trump's says audacious things all the time unabashedly and doesn't pull back on what he says. He denies this. These reports come from TDS, TrumpHate sources. Neither of us know the truth but I'm inclined not to believe this report.

    HtS,
I have found that people will more likely lie (by falsely denying) about something they said or did. Less often do people lie by fabricating an unflattering quote and attribute it to someone else. Gen. Kelly is not known to be a liar. Trump is. Kelly would have refuted the reports about Trump disparaging veterans if it were not true.

We know what Trump said about McCain and how he skipped out on visiting soldiers’ cemeteries. Kelly’s anecdote rings true. Yes, I know it’s hearsay. But we are not in a court of law
