It's been nearly a year. Tucker Carlson was fired last April 24. pb began his boycott immediately. pb never watched Carlson's Fox show but he admired Fox for airing it because Carlson wasn't run of the mill, brainless GOP Talking Point conservatism...
...and pb believes in openness and inclusion, acceptance, tolerance, diversity and freethinking. With Carlson in the prime spot in the Fox News schedule, Fox had some of that.
As an example, during Carlson's last days at Fox, he seems to have devoted his show to opposition to the war in Ukraine and harsh criticism of Vladimir Zelensky, while Brian Kilmeade was feverishly beating the war drum and the rest of the network was very supportive.
When Carlson was fired, pb'd had enuff. pb snoozed through Newsmax to monitor right-wing media for a while and checked out some podcasts, some he still follows. And, of course, he checked out talk radio to get right-wing perspective.
However,...
...in the end, in order to follow what's going on on the right?, Fox is just so crucial... especially to get GOP spin in the election.
I'd been subscribing to CNN, MSNBC and Fox on YouTube to hit the political spin highlights and I'll still do that. But, to avoid Fox during the presidential campaign makes keeping up with GOP propaganda impossible.
So, I'm suspending the boycott probably at least through the election.
