Curt will receive the spin of Dem members of the Committee, demand the resignation of Pope Francis and Hunter's immediate evaluation to the position.

Holy Father Hunter

I haven’t seen the transcript from the James Biden testimony, have you? My sense is that if the Republicans, who control the hearings, felt the testimony made Joe Biden look bad they would’ve released the transcript quickly and publicized it heavily. If the testimony made the Republicans look bad, they would drag their feet releasing it quietly.

I just remember that Comer and Jordan ran off to crow on Hannity.

GOPs ain't Dems. They don't leak like a sieve.

  3. by Curt_Anderson on February 27, 2024 9:30 am
What did you expect Comer and Jordan to say: we sucked?! If they don’t release the transcript or video you can assume it didn’t go well for the Republicans.

  4. by HatetheSwamp on February 27, 2024 9:33 am

I expected that they'd a kept their big, as po'd say, EFFINmouths shut if they had nuthin.

I posted about it. They said that Jimbo's testimony didn't comport with data accumulated through evidence.

"They said that Jimbo's testimony didn't comport with data accumulated through evidence." --HtS

Excuse me if I don't take their word for it. I'll wait for the videotape and/or transcript along with the supposedly contradictory evidence to be made public.

  6. by HatetheSwamp on February 27, 2024 10:57 am

Well, of course not. But, that's what they said. And, since you've chosen to live in ignernt bliss about the purported evidence, you won't know anyway.

“The Bidens”, lol! Whenever you see “the Bidens” that means any Biden not named Joe.

Joe Biden has not profited and does not have any involvement in any shell companies, but do you know who does? James Comer has shell companies and complicated business entanglements.

Those "loan repayments" of loans that ain't documented as of yet?

  11. by Curt_Anderson on February 28, 2024 10:53 am
Yes, the loan repayments have been documented. As I said before, Republicans are lousy at investigating and prosecuting. That’s because they build their case on a foundation of bullshit.

I can't get behind the WaPo pay wall but, as of this morning, apparently, House GOPs aren't satisfied that your SwampMedia documentation is satisfactory.

I'd be blessed if you'd copy and paste. But, for the moment, as you know, many of us don't put a lot of stock in your Holy Trinity's objectivity and reliability.

Multiple news media sources have evaluated bank records and determined the money exchanged was legitimately loan repayments.

The evidence CNN has reviewed is almost certainly only a fraction of the evidence Comer’s Republican-controlled committee has obtained, given that the committee subpoenaed years of financial records; the fraction CNN has seen does not prove with absolute certainty that there was a loan. But even this small batch of evidence clearly shows that the Democrats have

    Baha.

    Don't be so d@ng credulous.

Bottom line. Even CNN acknowledges a lack of documentation.

As you know d@ngwell, this came up when Jimbo was deposed. I don't recall the headlines declaring that the issue has been resolved.

And, Hunter will be asked about it. Comer said so. If those checks were on the up and up, he'll be able to do more provide documents at least partially substantiating their assertions...

    Let's keep a good thought.

  16. by Curt_Anderson on February 28, 2024 11:34 am
    HtS,
Your hope springs eternal! Just a reminder, it is the job of the prosecution team to prove guilt. They need to come up with the documentation of wrongdoing. The accused doesn't need to prove their loans, etc. were innocent transactions.

If your suppositions are correct, then James Comer Pyle should be able to present evidence after the Hunter Biden testimony that the loan repayments were somehow nefarious.

  17. by HatetheSwamp on February 28, 2024 11:38 am

Here's sumpthin you consistently forget when a Dem is accused. Simply sayin, "I didn't do it" ain't, in itself, an adequate defense.

    Nixon tried that, remember?

No, Curt, if there's documentation, Hunter'll come through, I certain.

  18. by Curt_Anderson on February 28, 2024 11:43 am
You are wrong about Nixon. What he said was, "when the president does it, that means that it is not illegal" Trumps takes that a step further. Trump has claimed he has post-presidential immunity.
