Here's the thing, gang. Ole pb truly neither supports nor defends Trump. Here's one example of why. I am a libertarian-ish GOP. I oppose tariffs and said so loooong before the election. But, more than that, the daily chaos of Trump’s presidency 2.0 grinds my gears!

But, what really angers me is that it's impossible to have an informed, rational dialog about these issues on SS... with anyone apart from OD.

Everyone else here has sacrificed their mind to TDS.

So, gang, Trump’s not a fascist. As the NYT's David Brooks noted on the PBS election night video I've linked twice, fascists are all about control, Trump is a chaos machine. This is narcissism, IMO. But, whatever it is, it ain't good.

Only one other poster here is capable of being rational about it.

And, SS has three plus years of that ahead!

The guidance also includes exclusions for other electronic devices and components, including semiconductors, solar cells, flat panel TV displays, flash drives, memory cards and solid-state drives used for storing data.

The guidance, issued late Friday evening, comes after Trump earlier this month imposed 145% tariffs on products from China, a move that threatened to take a toll on tech giants like Apple, which makes iPhones and most of its other products in China.

You seem to have lost the point (if you intended one) in your little rant. However, I will clarify it for you.

Trump blinked again. He is blinking so much now that it almost suggests a neurological disorder. Or panic attacks brought on by the stress and anxiety induced with the realisation that the world is a lot bigger than he is.

His tariffs ( a tax on Americans) are being negated one by one.

I'm not so sure about that, meagain.

In fact, you may be giving Trump more credit than he deserves. Trump is very impulsive. He may not have the depth to blink.

Beware. You are pretending the omniscience that po's had delusions of here for nigh unto decades. What we know is what he's done. Please leave the mind reading to po.

Because - just the same as you only watching or listening to wingnutty media (David Brooks, for instance) - you only feel comfortable having conversations with people who agree with you. IOW - other MAGAts.

    Indy,

As far as I know, no one agrees with me. OD maintains his rationality and ability to think logically about Trump but we don't entirely agree.

Watching trumpster for about 10 years, I don't think he does anything without a plan. I think this was planned from before the election. This chaos is how he works. He puts shiny things to your right, and does something on your left, when you look at the left, another shiny thing goes above you. Everything he does is calculated.

For those that are OCD or linear thinkers (loves spreadsheets), this drives you all nuts. It's hard for these folks to go from A, B, X, F, etc in no particular pattern. OCDs hate the way he thinks. Those of us that aren't spreadsheets (everything is a database, you pull an combine as you need) it's easier to put up with. And some of us actually look forward to his next move. Just for Sh*ts and giggles.

For meagain to say he doesn't know international politics is almost funny. He's been playing this game since he was working with his dad and construction. Knowing the politics of countries their strengths and weaknesses. He started out learning New York politics as he grew up. Waded through their bureaucracy and built his first property in 1976.

He likes to walk the ground (an old school thing to talk to the people that are doing the actual work). This is why the vast majority of his cabinet are walking the ground. Hegseth went to Germany to talk to troops and do PT with them (first time I've seen more than a company commander run). It's also why Christi is going out WITH USBP, Marshal's, and DOJ Agents and at the border. You can't command what you don't know. And you don't get any respect if you can't do their job, or don't know what that looks like.

The thing getting under most people's skin is his New York abrasiveness. Especially if you're not from Chicago or New York (especially the city) or big city, east coast. I agree with that. Melania needs to be the one posting on his twitter or X account. For God's sake! STFU!

Rubbish, OD. Hate was closer in saying that he is impulsive. His only plan is to try to twist everything to his personal benefit.

And he is a babe in the woods when it comes to international politics. He has already been given a sharp lesson in that by Carney. He has not a clue about America's position in the world. I posted what the world can do to America through the holdings of American debt. Europe, Japan, and China could bankrupt it overnight. They won't because it would send the world into a Depression deeper than the 1930s. The lesson will be gentler.

You also know very little about his business experience or acumen. He failed at a dozen ventures and has succeeded in none.

The fact that you have TPS has nothing to do with your posts?

What I have that you lack is a brain that is not hardened and rigid. Or maybe yours has atrophied and has no room to be flexible.

You live in your fantasy bubble. I'm in the real world. I can't/won't change the facts just so you can feel better about yourself.
