China's new BVD cars can deliver can take a full charge in 5 minutes and the country now has 50% penetration of EVs. As well, the rapid growth in Europe. That means the price of oil is going to drop sharply and fracked oil and the new oil and many existing oilfields struggle at current prices.

America will become an ICE island in a world that is electrifying. An expensive one in its energy production that will reduce its competitiveness and drive manufacturing out of the country, not draw it to America.

It has to be much more reliable than an uncited "opinion" facebook page. by Navy2711 on March 22, 2025 1:38 pm Snap reaction: "5 minute charging" is dubious, and if true won't have an impact. Scenarios where you need to charge in 5 minutes are a tiny minority. Agree with all the rest. There's probably never a good time to have corrupt, short-sighted, scientifically/technologically illiterate morons running the show, and now sure isnt one. by meagain on March 22, 2025 3:25 pm 5-minute charging is a big factor. Many people were turned off EVs because the did not like the idea of having to take 20 minutes or more at the few fast charging stations. An hour at most stations. A lot can't charge overnight, either, and the time factor can be important in a day's agenda. by oldedude on March 23, 2025 11:26 am I'm agreeing with navy on this. I know it's unbelievable, but the chinese are known to lie about things. IF it exists, does it blow up? Has anyone seen an actual vehicle running and charging? It's good if it's real.
