After all the BS that said that trumpster was only negotiating with Vlad the Impaler, there has been continual movement on both Ukraine and the US. Just like I said.
I'm not agreeing with how trumpster did this. I believe you can do much better only talking to the leaderships and all of a sudden pulling the rabbit out of your hat with a solution.
That said, there's movement. We have some "rights" to the minerals I said we needed, and which are a huge windfall for Ukraine. It also keeps the Impailer out of mining those for their own use (snoopy happy dance about that one).
No word on Crimea. If Ukraine is "ok" with the negotiation, so be it. I'm not going to stop the entire process over that.
Zelenskyy says he'll resign on ONE condition. NATO acceptance. First, I'm not sure why he should resign without a rightful election. That mocks the country and Vladamir (Z). Trumpster better watch for what he wishes for. Lead and I have had these discussions. I think he's got a pretty good handle on the country, considering he did the same thing Lincoln did during the civil war, he imposed martial law. And he missed a second civil war, by not freeing the northern slaves and left them in servitude.
As I said before. NO ONE GOT EVERYTHING THEY WANTED (which was mocked by the left on this site), and yet, everyone can live with what they got. And it just took a couple of weeks. We're not sure what the final decisions are, but if everyone there can live with it, I sure can.
postscript. Is the US going to be the lead dog in NATO any more? Don't know. I think NATO is a far better group than the UN. At least we only have to deal with one Islamic enemy in the bunch (Turkey). If Germany and a few of the other countries take the helm (in both leadership and money), I'm okay to support it. That's going to mean far fewer troops in Europe, which Germany has relied on for their economy (US troops spend a lot of money there, and the Germans don't have to worry about jobs, etc. AND the US employs a LOT of German civilians, the same as the Brits. So it's a windfall for them. Many of the smaller towns in Germany/ GB are like that. When we pulled out a few years ago, the smaller towns shut down because they lost most of their populations. Regardless of what you think about it, the Europeans absolutely worry about it, as does the ROK. You'll see the "wonderful" German "economy" and jobs numbers fall through the cracks. Which is neither here nor there with me. The Germans as a people are great.
There are starting to be attacks by Muslim terrorists in both Germany and GB. Between 2001 and 2009, the Muslim population increased almost 10 times faster than the non-Muslim population. Islam is the second-largest religion in the United Kingdom, with results from the 2021 Census recording just under four million Muslims, or 6.0% of the total population in the United Kingdom. London has the largest population and greatest proportion (15%) of Muslims in the country. The statistics post 2021 are sketchy at best, depending on population rises.
GB has had several instances of police having their throats slit by Muslim males, and has created issues in the population (as was "discounted" by the left on this site)." This generally shows that a group feels like they have enough "balls" to overtly murder those they see in charge (in the US they use assassinations of police) for the trans-national gangs (as seen in NYC, CHI, Philly, etc)
