    Possibly because that is what Trump wants to hear. Trump is definitely under some sort of obligation to Putin and is anxious to please him. Puts a little meat on the rumour of shady dealings with Deutschebank and loans to Trump in the past.

    Indy, you misinterpreted that. It could have read Zelenskyy told Trump that "Putin is afraid of Trump”.

    That may be a clever mind game that Zelenskyy is playing on the bromance of Trumputin. Trump probably is flattered by that thought. What is Putin supposed to say now? Does Trump exploit the alleged fear and extract something from Russia?
