LPG is not better. In fact, it may be worse. In the extraction process of the gas, there is a lot of methane leakage and methane is around 80 times as powerful as CO2. It does have a shorter life, though, so over a century or so, the impact is about the same. It also has leakage problems in its transport and in the burning, the effect is the same.
It is a Red Herring to equate China. The USA is a mature economy and the switch to renewables is relatively easy. It needs only the will. China is an emeginf=g economy totally dependent on coal to industrialized.
However, China is doing far more than the USA to convert to renewables. It is spending as much as the rest of the world in total on the installation of renewables and its coal usage has peaked and is declining. It is closing more old plants than it is building new ones. In fact, half of the world total of solar installed each year is in China.
Then, too, the USA has a cumulative total of CO2 emissions since it began to industrialize that is the largest of any country in the world by a massive nmargin.

So you hate everything. Got it. My question is. First, give me someplace to look for your information.
Here's what I found;
The impact of LPG on the environment is positive
LPG is one of the cleanest conventional fuels available.
It is non-toxic and has no impact on soil, water, and underground aquifers.
LPG produces substantially less particulate matter and NOX than diesel, oil, wood, or coal.
When used for home heating, LPG contributes to lower levels of air pollution, acid rain production, and effects from spills.
The combustion of LPG has almost no harmful effects on the environment or human health.
Maybe technology has changed from the 1950's...
