    It might be worth your while, OD, to check what the experts in child psychology and a few other disciplines are almost unanimous in saying: that parents should not be told by the schools of their child's preferences in pronouns. It is the religious right that makes specious claims about a parent's rights.

    It does not violate the Constitution. The Constitution says nothing about it since it appeared in no philosophical statement at the time and in no existing law. If Scotus has ruled against it, and I would like to see where it has, then it is doing what it has done for a long time: distorting any idea of rights to fit a political bias.

    As for pb? Not the Constitution per se. But, the freakin friggin EFFINBill of Rights... particularly the Tenth Amendment... but the whole d@ng thing protects citizens from the interference of Big Brother.

    Amendment 9: The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

    Plus one of the main purposes of the Bill was to limit the powers of government not to extend them into the daily lives of the people.

    It is not a question of the Constitution but the fundamental right of humans to live their lives as they choose that can only be restricted by government where it classes with other rights and the balance lies against it.

    I'm not a professor of constitutional law but we have discussed the ways the current Court has been rejecting arguments rooted in the 14th Amendment. The argument that our current President-elect is prohibited from running for President because of the 14th Amendment, was scuttled, even though:

    "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion..."

    Baha.


    This Court has consistently elevated the Tenth Amendment when there is tension between it and the Fourteenth Amendment.

    "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

    Hence, the Dobbs decision.

    We'll see.

    I'm in VA right now without my computer. So little pink princess party trick because your mommy and daddy pimped your worthless ass to be a party favor.

    Where it applies to parents because it talks about "over the legal age." The law delineates who is accountable for juvvies. So if your kid breaks a window, you can sue the parents.

    This is a double edged sword. Yes, you must tell the child's legal guardian what is going on in school. At the flip side, if you allow the child to have access to guns, you are also culpable.

    We have several friends in CA, all Democrats, who are serious about moving to Tucson. Their decisions are based on the feeling that it'll be safer living in a state that voted for Trump. Living in AZ also has the advantage of living in a state that has a Democratic governor and two US Senators. Eventually, Californians will turn Arizona Blue. Trump only won by a hair here.
