It’s comical how many investigations these Republicans start, only to have them peter out and to be quietly forgotten. Their “demand” the FBI investigate Tim Walz being a recent example.

(Politico)The Ukrainian leader visited a factory in Pennsylvania over the weekend, flanked by Democrats.

Nine House Republicans are demanding information on U.S. taxpayer funds spent on security and support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to an ammunition factory in Pennsylvania over the weekend — clearly irked that the visit seemed to benefit Democrats in a swing state.

I don't understand what your issue is. You were evasive to say the least. Was he wanting hookers? Our own Secret service got those. Was he making an "illegal" gun transfer? he might be needing that, but I doubt it. The Secret Service already swapped that illegally, so nooooo.... I'm thinking not. My answer is, " you need to check out the minions first. Can the "secret Service" protect someone's pet fu**ing hamster for three days if asked to? I'm skeptical at best.

So if anyone has a better idea of what he's up to while he's here, I'd like to see that. I also think his desire to pull the "Americans" into this war is something he needs. So whattawe do?

Who can wonder why Zelenskyy is, for all intents and purposes, campaigning for Ms Mckneepads in the most crucial battleground state. Joe's been sending money him to enable his ban on free speech and freedom of religion and to indefinitely suspend elections like he's Joe's white-privileged, corrupt, spoiled, stripper-impregnating son and Zelenskyy is doing what he can to keep the faucet open.

    Baha

My sense is that Pennsylvania voters understand what's going on.

  3. by Indy! on September 25, 2024 10:16 am

Maybe that's because he knows Trump is sleeping with Putin and if Fatass gets elected he'll let the Russian tanks roll into Zelensky's backyard?

  4. by meagain on September 25, 2024 2:45 pm
Zelensky's ban on freedom of religion. Are you nuts? He has banned the Russian Orthodox to free Ukrainians from the authority of the Russian Church. Freedom remains and is enhanced.

Trump's been pissed off at Zelenskyy ever since he refused to launch an investigation into Hunter Biden.

Most Americans' sympathies lie with Ukraine and most Americans want to help Ukraine with their fight against Russia for the long run. This is probably especially true in Pennsylvania which has among the highest population percentages of Ukrainian-Americans and Polish-Americans. Two ethnic groups all too familiar with Russian invasions.

If you doubt this help pro-Ukraine Harris and hurts pro-Putin Trump, then ask yourself why are the Republicans launching another "investigation"?

Incidentally, the Russian-Orthodox Church are likely collaborators with the Russians. A poll found 63 percent of Ukrainians favor outlawing the Russian-aligned branch of the church.

The Russian-aligned church, which still represents millions of Ukrainians, insists that it cut ties with its Russian hierarchy at the onset of the war. But the independent Ukrainian church calls that break insincere and flatly condemns its counterpart for not making a real break with Moscow.

Religion has infused Russia’s conflict with Ukraine from its earliest stirrings. In 2014, a Russian commando team sheltered in a monastery before igniting the first violence in the conflict as Russia fomented an uprising in eastern Ukraine in 2014. The leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, blessed the Russian invasion in 2022.

I honestly didn't care about the Ukraine situation until finding out how much it means to Pharoah Fatso.

I can be petty like that. 😃

"Most Americans' sympathies lie with Ukraine and most Americans want to help Ukraine with their fight against Russia for the long run."

    Curt,

pb has been the most hawkish supporter of Ukraine on SS since before Russia invaded. pb's always said that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's" been too weak in supporting Ukraine. Joe does nuthin but throw money at Ukraine. The US Ukraine policy is a disgrace.

pb's always said that Zelenskyy is nuthin more than Putin but that he knows how to charm the pants off of Western libs and American progressives.

  11. by meagain on September 26, 2024 7:44 am
Actually, pb, Obama was President when Russia invaded Ukraine. You should look at Zelensky's bio and heritage before you continue your ignorance based denigration of him.

  12. by HatetheSwamp on September 26, 2024 7:59 am

    meagain,

News flash: Russia invaded Ukraine in February 022, a year and a month after "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" became the man behind the desk in the Oval Office: Incompetent and weak.

  13. by Curt_Anderson on September 26, 2024 8:30 am
    HtS,
Chinese officials told senior Russia not to invade Ukraine before the end of the Winter Olympics in Beijing.

China held the closing ceremony of the Olympics on Feb. 20. Early on Feb. 24, the Russian military began a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, including carrying out attacks on cities with ballistic missiles, artillery and tanks.

  14. by Donna on September 26, 2024 8:40 am

You meant "Early in Feb '22".

  15. by Donna on September 26, 2024 8:43 am

My mistake. I see now that you were referring to the days of the month of Feb. 2022.

  16. by Curt_Anderson on September 26, 2024 8:55 am
    Right Donna.

HtS sees significance in that Russia invaded Ukraine 13 months after Biden assumed office. Russia invaded Ukraine 4 days after the Beijing Winter Olympics closed. Which events are more likely to be connected?

  17. by HatetheSwamp on September 26, 2024 9:16 am

Well, really, pb just wanted to let meagain know that there's been a development in Ukraine since The ONE was President.

That Putin didn't seize land during Trump's term is an indisputable fact.

  18. by meagain on September 26, 2024 2:09 pm
Russia invaded Ukraine in 1914 when it annexed the Crimea. That is when the West should have intervened. The lack of response to that is what emboldened it to try for more.

It effectively was already in Ukraine through its proxies in East Ukraine, the Donestk? region.

"Russia invaded Ukraine in 1914 when it annexed the Crimea. That is when the West should have intervened."

    Curt,

I nominate this as The Most Idiotic Post in the History of SS."

meagain! 1914 was when World War I began. The freakin friggin EFFINworld got involved!

  20. by meagain on September 27, 2024 10:13 am
You know very well that that should have read 2014. However, it was not long after 1914, just a few years when it first took over Ukraine. 1934 was the Holodor when in a deliberate genocide Russia murdered 4 million Ukrainians—starved them to death.

  21. by Indy! on September 27, 2024 1:41 pm

Obama didn't care about anything after he passed his shitty healthcare scam.

  22. by HatetheSwamp on September 27, 2024 3:18 pm

    meagain,

pb's far and away the most hawkish SSer on Ukraine. But, he's strenuously opposed to the "dithering and diminished" Doddering Old Fool's policy.
