pb offers two observations.

1. It was an excellent speech received by a very enthusiastic audience. Kammy done good. Some lying, but not much.
2. The whole speech was raw meet to extremists in the Dem Party base. po, Donna. You will EFFINlove it! But, h€ck, gang. We're almost to the end of July. And, Dems are still reaching out among themselves. That's a bad place to be.

Still, it truly was a humdinger of a speech.

    Sheri and I just finished watching it. Wow! What a speech! She was so good that she brought tears to my eyes. Kamala Harris us exactly who the Democrats needed and who America needs right now.

    Teump is facing a buzzsaw in Kamala. He should be very, very afraid. And from comments by MAGA leaders like the winner of the Nosferatu lookalike contest Stephen Miller, they're shaking in their jackboots.

    I wish she was throwing raw meat to the left, but I'll take her just being competent, not making any mistakes and throwing raw meat to the party faithful (which is the "left" to pb). She should not waste any time genuflecting to the Trumpers - they aren't voting for her. Get the party excited and let the indies know she's not a complete idiot. IOW - get them to the polls. That's all that matters.

    Did you notice how adroitly she addressed her performance as Border Czar and the rising cost of gasoline and fuel oil and groceries? Yeah, me neither.

    This was, essentially, a 15 minute abridgement of Joe's SOTU address. Progressive raw meat. I remember how thrilled po and Curt were by that speech. Hyping up the base. I get that.

    And, it was a well delivered speech. No doubt.

    But,... 20 and 30Somethings who can't buy a house because interest rates have skyrocketed under Biden/Harris?

    Parents of public school students whose test scores are tanking as a result of Biden/Harris pandemic lockdowns...

    Do you understand that people are going to need to hear other things than progressive hype?

    Do you understand that you two are not the middle of the road?

    I expected you two be thrilled, but...

    She gave a dynamite speech. I'm sure we'll hear it many more times until everyone who can vote is sure to have heard it. Short and concise, nailing the whole basic point and the existential stakes of this contest, while showing the vivacious energy and street fighter chops to see the job all the way through.
