Many Republicans, including some in Trump’s inner circle, have been calling Biden’s decision to leave the race — and the rush by many Democratic leaders to support Harris — an undemocratic “coup” that disenfranchises the millions of Democrats who voted in the party’s primaries. It’s an echo of an older G.O.P. talking point claiming that the Democratic Party conspired to prevent Senator Bernie Sanders from winning the nomination in 2016 and 2020 — and part of a consistent effort to paint their rivals as elites who steamroll their rank and file.



Trump will probably succeed in bamboozling some voters into thinking he, the billionaire tax-cheat who is funded by Elon Musk, the world's richest man, is on the side of the working class.

    Curt,

    The 016 Dem Primary was, indeed, rigged.

    And, there can be no doubt the 024 Dem Primaries were rigged. And, when the Dems own polls showed that their very own Doddering Old Fool couldn't win... well, we know what happened to his candidacy... and how much his 14,000,000 votes mattered.

    Coup?

    It seems like that to me. Very Banana Republic.

    yass, yass. The Democratic primaries are rigged so that candidate who gets fewer votes loses. So unfair!

    No.

    That's not how they rig it. In 024, the Former Truck Driver got 14,000,000 votes. 87% the vote. And, poof!

    But, the point is that if there'd be a fair and open campaign Joe would never have been the nominee. He'd'a crashed and burned. But the smoke-filled room and the string-pullers didn't want that.

    It's all rigged. The last time the Dems had an open, honest and fair primary was in 08.
