More Democratic lawmakers on Friday publicly called for President Biden to drop out of the 2024 race, including New Mexico Sen. Martin Heinrich, who is running for reelection in what is supposed to be a safe seat for the party.

Why Democrats plan to vote on Biden’s nomination before the convention
Biden, who is isolating in his beach house after getting COVID earlier this week, was not expected to do any public events on Friday. But he said in a statement that he would be back on the campaign trail next week.

His party has gone through an excruciatingly public deliberation over the past three weeks after Biden froze up during a debate with former President Donald Trump. Top leaders in Congress have failed to publicly deny a steady drip of leaks that they've appealed to Biden to step aside for a younger candidate because they think he can't win the election.

Let me start off with two words. I support Biden. I support Biden.

The guy got 87% of Dem Primary votes. 14,000,000 of them... and he still has support among progressives and the Congressional Black Caucus.

Exactly. That's what pb's been saying repeatedly. To throw away the results of the entire Dem Primary Election. People need to understand what that is.

What amazes me is that our SS house progressives are vehemently Joe must go when DC progressives are extremely loyal.

The DC dims are actually politicians and look further than the next 5 minutes. pedojoe, being a liberal is by definition a narcissist. he was in this world before either the clitons, or obomber. AND I'm sure he knows where all the skeletons in DC are buried and can dig up dirt on everyone in DC. AND I don't think he wants to get kicked around by the "kids." I think he would mind less with kamala taking over for him (because she'd lose and he could say "I told you so." Pelosi is trying to screw both of them over. Again, my thought is that if they pass over kamala, the Black caucus will absolutely rebel and tell their constituents to also. It'll ruin the dims for several cycles.

I didn't know this until today, but Bibi is showing up on Wednesday. For some reason, people think that is a thing with joe. I don't know if he actually thinks he's a "friend" or what. but be that as it may. It could be thursday or so.

the flip side is that drjill and crackheadhunter are trying to negotiate his exit. I'm not sure if he even knows. If he does, fine, if not, this is really shady.
