Let me start off with two words:
I support Biden. I support Biden.

Apparently Joe and Mika do, too. Even then, Joe pulled out his "C'mon, gimme a break" line (EFFINtwice)... and, he called them "pal."

Now, gang, I support Biden, I support Biden but near the end there, the GET OFF MY LAWN version of the President appeared. Pal.

I think that the string-pullers may have overdone it with the modafinil... and,...

I do wonder if the juiced-up, nasty version of Joe will win over moderate and independent common sense voters, but, we'll see.

So, view the link. I could follow it at 1.5 speed.

Enjoy!

Just about the entire party has turned against Biden now, including even the likes of Adam Schiff, Sen. Clyburn, and Jen Psaki.

Expect Biden to announce that he's dropping out by this Friday or maybe next Friday right after the MAGA convention.

    Donna,

Listen to the Morning Joe thing. Our President has enlisted the very public support of Joe and Mika. Mika wants to promote Joe again. If there are others, Biden may survive the coup.

I think Joe Biden might release his committed delegates so that there will be an open convention. But he will remain as a candidate and compete against anybody else who may want to challenge him at the Democratic convention.

  4. by Donna on July 8, 2024 9:16 am

Holding an open convention that may or may not be preceded by Biden dropping out seems to be the direction this is all going.

Mika will probably never give up on Joe, though.

    Curt,

Did you listen to even 30 seconds of the "dithering and diminished" one with Joe and Mika? To paraphrase Danny and the Juniors,

    FIGHTIN IS HERE TO STAY

I saw at least a minute of the Joe Biden interview on Morning Joe. I believe the open convention scenario, which Donna and I have described is a very likely possibility. Furthermore, if Joe Biden is a candidate I think he will defeat all comers. Kamala Harris cannot seek the nomination unless Joe Biden drops out.

As you know, I support Biden. I support Biden.

But, for those who are skeptical, what are they thinking about this:

They are thinking about editing, slowing down and manipulating the video?

    Curt and Donna,

Joe wants to be the candidate. If there's any suspicion that he's forced out, after EFFIN14,000,000 of the Dem faithful in the primaries voted for him? I want to see any woke white progressive try to hint that Trump and the GOPs are a threat to democracy.

I'm seeing game, set and match... a little Wimbledon lingo, there.

  10. by Curt_Anderson on July 8, 2024 10:22 am
14,000,000 Democrats did NOT vote for Joe Biden. Most just completed the ballots that happened to have Biden's name on it. It is only the voters in the first handful of primary states that have any say in who the nominee is. That goes for both parties.

As I have opined here more than once, primaries are not as democratic as they were envisioned over a century ago. Contrary to HTS's opinion, Democrats would not complain if there was a contested convention. In fact, I think it would be a TV reality show hit. And it Biden wins, so be it. I don't think many Democrats would complain.

I said it before. This is what a dictator does/says. And trumpsters the "problem" because "he might." Right now we have pedojoe having a problem and is demanding he doesn't lose power.

pedojoe reminds me of Xi Jinping and the Kim's (DPRK) (to a lesser extent). Although pedojoe is being asked to do what he said he would do and be that "bridge" candidate. Now when he's being called on his BS, he refuses and digs in supported by Dr jill, and a known felon, liar, and drug offender, and someone that can't even take care of his own family. pedojr is going to meetings with joe, potentially exposing him to classified material, which he is not cleared for. All this because he "doesn't trust" senior. If a crackhead doesn't think someone is thinking clearly, I think that's a pretty friggin' good indicator of joe not being able to make stable decisions.

Oy freakin friggin EFFINvey, man! You are missing pb's point, though I'm not certain you are correct about Dems. Here in Pennsylvania, Sen Fetterman strenuously backs the Former Trucker and Bob Casey is keep his mouth shut.

If you are suggesting that moderate and independent common sense voters are going to listen to Dems preach about GOPs being a threat to democracy, after Joe was chosen by Dem voters and is then perceived to be strong-armed off the fall ballot...

    Just try it.

Trump already outpolls the "dithering and diminished" Doddering Old Fool on protecting democracy. You wanna underwrite a Trump... and GOP... landslide? Foist Joe off the fall ballot!

    We may be talking Reagan/Carter!

Scarborough is a wingnut - elected as an R to CONgress, has not changed his politics at all since. Mika is the classic Hillary liberal - she will support whoever is the official candidate. Right now that is Biden. I can't stand Biden, don't want him as president but I can admit the 5 minutes or so of the first video he sounded cogent to me... like an 80 yr old guy who is aware, but slow.
