    That's been demonstrably what he thinks, Curt. There have been a lot of instances where he has called for unconstitutional and violent overstepping of power, but just for a brief time!

    His promise if reelected to be a dictator on Day One... but only on Day One... is my favorite example.

    Trump is marginally smarter than his MAGA cultists. He has often demonstrated his ignorance about American history, et cetera. But like any conman, he isn't as dumb and gullible as his marks. Somewhere somebody (probably a minimally educated, young white guy) is thinking to themselves, violent day, hmm, that's a good idea!

    That's how he attracts some voters, by offering terrible ideas. The rest of the Trump voters are like HtS who refuse to believe that Trump even said it.

    Btw, because I hang merchandise on clipstrips in grocery stores for a major vendor, sometimes I find items that were irreparably damaged by shoppers, for example, a bag of balloons that were ripped open to remove a couple of balloons. The most common thing that's shoplifted is the rubber ball that comes with jacks. I used to see a lot of shoplifting when I worked at grocery stores in rough parts of Long Beach, CA. Sometime the store manager would follow around repeat shoplifters, and on a couple of occasions the shoplifter got irate at being followed around and a shouting match ensued.

    There are things you can pick up on, like constantly looking around to check if they're being watched by a store employee, how they're dressed, including if they're wearing apparel that would make it easy to hide something.

    Btw, I'm strongly opposed to Gavin's policy. I'm not a fan of Newsome. I'm a law & order proponent and I detest dishonesty, except for sparing someone's feelings.

    If you don't live in a "blue city" (which is simply a GOP dog whistle for BLACK neighborhoods) - then you have nothing to say about it. We need LESS cops - not more cops.

    Shoplifting is a flea speck on a rat's ass when it comes to crime. The most expensive crime? Corporate wage and salary theft. It's something like 2000X the size of shoplifting but we don't hear a word about that because shoplifting triggers the idiots. So bless and cherish the shoplifters - they're doing good work.
