Imagine a continuum labeled with the numbers 0 to 10 with 0 representing the most extreme liberal and 10 the most reactionary conservative.
pb thinks that voters in the 3-5 range will determine who wins the 024 election, i.e. moderates and slightly liberals.
Here's a hypothetical.
A corrupt MAGA political operative knocks on po and Donna's door with mail-in ballots and a check. The check is in the amount of the balance of their mortgage. And, the MAGA says, "Donald Trump will pay off your mortgage today, if you both cast votes for him," po would kick him in his dirty a$$ and send him packing. Because po, especially, but Donna, too, practice, proudly and uncompromisingly, principled and deranged TrumpHate.
Many lefties are like them, but not all. There are non TDS libs.
We know that a decent number of very conservative conservatives support the Dingbat... the whole Cheney Gang, as an example. Trump's not a hero to the right.
Based on truth that 538 underestimated Trump's vote in 020 by 3.9%, and based on recent polls, Trump is leading, when polls are adjusted for the 020 polling error. He's leading by about 1%.
How's that possible?
pb theorizes that moderates and quite a few people who incline toward liberalism support Trump, or are willing to.
In fact there's a lot of FDR through JFK liberalism in Trump, something the deranged are too far gone to understand.
Curt's entered a few posts taunting MAGAs with the assertion that some of Trump's ideas actually are not conservative.
Duh. As the song asks, "When will they ever learn?"
Trump is a pragmatist. And, on my continuum, 3s to 7s ain't ideologues. They are ripe for Trump's picking.
pb thinks that Nate Silver's forecast that Trump is 61% like to win is off, and too inclined toward Trump. But, Trump has the advantage that he'll appeal to people in the middle.
Whadaya think?
