    Nicole Shanahan is a total whacko! She complains that the Democrats since Obama have only been running a small "select group" of people for President. I have no idea what she is thinking but they can only run one candidate at a time.

    On the Republican side, they have run the same candidate three times in a row, but somehow that doesn't bother her.

    Less than the number of Ds who ran in the last open election.

    Since Obama the Republicans and the Democrats have had about the same number of primary candidates. In 2016 Trump was unopposed, there were about 20 Democrats running.

    No matter how you slice it, that lady is nuts.

    I refuse to believe you honestly think that the 020 Dem surrounding of the "dithering and diminished" Doddering Old Fool from S Carolina on, is how primaries function among the GOPs.

    I am not stupid, but at least somebody discussing this issue is.

    What you wrote has nothing to do with Shanahan's uninformed comments.

    On the GOP side, their primaries are winner take all, so the first states have an outsized importance. The Democrats award delegates proportionately to the amount of primary votes they received. Biden did get a big boost with Rep. James Clyburn's endorsement. As with many walks of life, it's important to build friendships and relationships.

    The Ds cheated and so did the Rs. The Rs played a little game in 2016 where they systematically eliminated one candidate at a time by focusing on their bad points. Each debate was tailored to knock one of Trump's opponents off until he was the last man standing. Ds did it a different way in 2016. They could see Bernie was going to win the nomination, so they ganged up on him by all dropping out and pimping Biden who never would have won otherwise.
