Yup the Israelis are at it again! Spreading mayhem and chaos throughout the region.


Panic in Beirut Because of Israeli warplanes!

BEIRUT (Reuters) -Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier three times over Beirut in less than 30 minutes on Tuesday, leading to loud booms that sent people in the city running for cover just ahead of a speech by the head of the powerful Iran-backed group Hezbollah.

Israeli warplanes flew low over the Lebanese capital, with witnesses saying they could see the planes with the naked eye. The booms were the loudest heard in Beirut in years.

Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was set to begin an address at around 5 p.m. (1400 GMT) to mark one week since the killing of the Lebanese armed group's top military commander Fuad Shukr in an Israeli strike in Beirut's southern suburbs.

Hezbollah has promised to respond to the killing, which came just hours before the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in an operation blamed on Israel but which Israel has not confirmed or denied undertaking.

So Israel sent a message. "We're here. We can get to you any time. Our capability to turn your capital into dust and rubble is REAL. If you're tempted to do anything to us? We can fly with impunity over your country and lay waste to anything we want."

I think that's a pretty good message for the Lebanese to remember. AND, unlike Hamas that murdered women and children in an attempt at genocide, it's a warning. Like they always do.

I offered a comparison for you. In WWII, England had a population of somewhat more than 40 million. The massive bombing raids by the Luftwaffe for two years killed less than 6000 children. I forget the exact figure but around 5800. Gaza has a population of just over 2 million. The Israeli assault has killed more than twice that 6000. IOW about 35 times as many dead kids proportionately. Then, there is so much about Israelis murdered over the years by Palestinians since 1967. But what is the fact? Again, I don't recall the exact numbers but it is less than 1000 while the number of Palestinians killed in Gaz and the West Bank in the same time by Israeli security and West Bank settlers is more than ten times the number.
