Vice President Kamala Harris has made a decision on her running mate, with four people close to the process saying Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota is her choice.

The selection caps the Midwestern Democrat’s short but swift ascent from a relative unknown to a leading driver of the party’s attacks on Donald Trump and the MAGA agenda.

Harris had not formally called Walz to offer him the position, a source familiar with process told CNN.


Politically? Bad choice, imo.

    Supposedly (and who really knows) was Walz and Shapiro. There was a lot of rumbling and lack of support for the Jew. So to me this is just a shrug. No shock.

    One of Kammy's problems with moderate and independent common sense voters will be accusations of antisemitism. If she's not a cultural Marxist antisemite she had a chance to ameliorate those fears by reaching out to Shapiro.

    Saw some of the Kammy rally while eating dinner. Walz is a home run pick - perfect. Exactly what I said she needed to do - pick an old white guy governor to give the campaign some gravitas. It was the only thing missing and Kamala's team nailed it. I saw Shapiro's speech - liked him too. But you pick him then the GOP will go full racist on the team. Just play the game the way it has worked historically.
