Jonathan Turley says he doesn't know which crime Trump was convicted of. That doesn't matter.

Hear Turley expose his ignorance or more likely his successful effort at bamboozling the likes of HtS. It's followed by an explanation of NY law.

Remember when Trump said he "had the best lawyers!" he "never loses!"? Funny that his attorney said his team was "brilliant" (😂) and if he had to do it all over again? He "wouldn't change a thing!"

Trump’s lawyers must know that they could have called witnesses. Trump idiotically complained that the PROSECUTION didn’t call favorable witnesses. Maybe his lawyers are like the “Producers”, figuring they can make more money losing with the appeals and all.

Judge Merchan wouldn't let them ask meaningful questions of their Federal Election Commission witness. And, just remember. Based on what pb's Goobers were saying, the Judge saved the day. The fix was in.

And, bottom line? The election ain't a referendum on Trump. People don't seem anxious to vote for incumbent President Asufutimaehaehfutbw.

    "God save the Queen, man!"

Two insights in the wake of the verdict:

    1. The BEE headlined that Trump was convicted of 24 counts of being Donald Trump.
    2. GUTFELD's Kat Timpf notes that the Lawfare gang can't produce a victim. Michael Cohen is the face of the crime. Not compelling.

By the time the first debate rolls around, it's very likely that the verdict will be the proverbial tree in the forest that fell that no one heard it.

Apparently, the string-pullers already know that. Hence, the Doddering Old Fool's decision to issue Executive Orders to manage the border disaster.

I love how with the right, crimes they commit against the U.S. Constitution are never seen as having the Constitution count as the victim.

"All Trump did was wipe his fat orange ass with the Constitution. So my goodness, who's the victim here...?" -The Conservative Right

    That might, hypothetically, be, po.

But, in my first post after the verdict, I noted, "Now the politics begin." And, they have. Your side's not riding the tide of approbation that your polls led you to hope.

Between the fact that you're trying to get America to believe that Michael Cohen is Martin Luther King, Jr 2.0 and the fact that President "End of quote. Repeat the line," is Trump's opponent, you have little to hope about.

"Judge Merchan wouldn't let them ask meaningful questions of their Federal Election Commission witness." ---HtS

As I've said, HtS, you are easily bamboozled.

Judge in Trump’s hush money trial did not bar campaign finance expert from testifying for defense
The former president reiterated this falsehood several more times in his post-trial comments, claiming that Merchan was blocking Smith’s testimony “because he’s going to say we did nothing wrong.” He also posted about it on his social media platform Truth Social later that evening, calling Merchan’s decision “election interference.”

But Smith was permitted to testify. The defense decided not to call him after Merchan reaffirmed a pretrial ruling that limited what he could have spoken about. The defense rested its case on Tuesday after calling two witnesses to testify — Daniel Sitko, a paralegal who works in the law office of Trump attorney Todd Blanche, and Robert Costello, a former federal prosecutor in New York.

Merchan said that, if called, Smith could give general background about the FEC — for example, it’s purpose and the laws it enforces — and provide definitions for terms such as “campaign contribution.” He rejected the Trump team’s renewed efforts to have Smith define three terms in federal election law on the basis that doing so would breach rules preventing expert witnesses from interpreting the law. Nor could Smith opine on whether the former president’s alleged actions violate those laws.

The judge said if Smith did testify, the prosecution would then be permitted to call an expert of its own, resulting in a “battle of the experts” that “would only serve to confuse and not assist the jury.”

    Here's the $64K question...

WHY DIDN'T TRUMP'S EXPERT TEAM JUST CALL STORMY DANIELS TO TESTIFY THAT SHE NEVER SLEPT WITH TRUMP???!!!!"

You're trying to hard for a Trumper. For an alleged anti-"swamp" person? Ridiculous amount of worrk on your part to defend a known felon.

Two defense witnesses, both total losers. As I noted previously, Costello was a unmitigated disaster for the defense. And what sort of witness is a paralegal who works in the law office of Trump attorney Todd Blanche? That guy is supposed to come across as unbiased and sway the jury in the Trump's favor?

Ridiculous amount of worrk on your part to defend a known felon.

I ain't defending no one. But, pb's three Legal Goobers, two of whom are life-long Dems, none of whom are MAGAs, think the Manhattan was ridiculous and absurd.

    Admittedly,...

I ain't a former Supreme Court clerk and an Ivy League law school professor but I know what people with working brains, and who aren't prisoners of the preferences and prejudices they bring with them to every moment of their lives, think.

"Ridiculous amount of [work] on your part to defend a known felon." -Indy!

"I ain't defending no one." -Hate

Well, it's work that he apparently loves, Indy!, even though he lies about doing it. He spends most of his time in here defending and excusing Trump and his cacophony of felonies. And then he thinks that insulting our intelligence by lying that he's not defending him somehow means that he isn't doing what we all here watch him do on a daily basis. He is a wanton Trump supporter. That's just how they roll.

It's massively important to Hate to defend Trump and see him be let off the hook for his crimes. It doesn't matter how absurd and asinine his arguments are in the face of reality. What we have been watching him do in here for years is classic cult follower behavior towards the Leader. It's pretty cut and dry. It's actually pretty pathetic to watch him try to deny it.

Ah, po. I love it when you slide into you omniscience delusion. You're a world-class Miss Chloe wannabe.

pb'll repeat. He don't know nuthin about nuthin. He wasn't a Supreme Court clerk and he doesn't teach at an Ivy League law school, like some...

...but he has those three Legal Goobers, two of which are life-long Dems and t'other is a nonMAGA GOP.

Turley and Douche have always been GOP. Turley got kicked off of MSNBC for being too rightwing.
