Cranky, cantankerous and curmudgeonly.

Joe was that angry old man who raises his fist in the air screaming, "Get of my lawn."

If I'd forgotten, he reminded me why I HatetheSwamp.

Nailed it! Feisty, energetic and spot on! He mentioned that college girl murdered in Georgia—-who you predicted he wouldn’t mention.

  2. by Ponderer on March 7, 2024 8:42 pm

Wasn't that a barn burner of a speech, Curt? That was a president there is what that was. His predecessor could never make such a speech if his life depended on it.

Oh wait. I forgot. He'd just lie his orange ass off and the MAGA Hats would cheer.

  3. by Ponderer on March 7, 2024 9:43 pm

And if people weren't crediting him for all his accomplishments on the economy, they sure as hell do after this speech.

    A LANDSLIDE I'm tellin' ya...!

Curt, Not just to you, More of an overall observation since no one has brought it up before.

The border in general: what a goat fuck. pedojoe told everyone what he was going to do. and did it.

Laken Riley. That's her name. I'm kinda surprised pedojoe could read if off the button. Talk about an insult to the families that have lost to these assholes. And I am absolutely including illegal-illegal crime which is severely under-reported. But to harp on that is futile. We can argue for centuries on that.

The other fact in this case is that he's a KNOWN violent sexual predator. He was arrested. True to the sheeple dims "catch and Release," she is dead. That could have been prevented. NYC, "woke" prosecutors, stupidity are to blame.

People say we have "less crime" now. That actual fewer cases because the former felonies are now misdemeanors. If this is working so well why are the military police patrolling the subways of NYC?

"People say we have "less crime" now. That actual fewer cases because the former felonies are now misdemeanors." -olde dude

    I'm calling bullshit on that.

If that is actually the case, I wanna see the numbers on it. What felonies? I bet we're talking numbers so small here that it's bullshit. Please link us to those numbers, olde dude. If you'd be so very kind...

Another great offering from our resident bloviator, Mr. Molehill Mountain.

Yeah I'm calling bullshit on that whole nonsense of yours. I'm sure that you are blowing facts out of all honest proportion.

I looked at some of the conservative/Republican X accounts. They seem to going with "angry" mostly to describe Biden. I've seen variations of cranky, cantankerous and curmudgeonly. What they are NOT saying is that he was weak, frail, feeble or the like. I believe Katie Britt used the words "dithering" and "diminished", but that was recorded BEFORE the SoTU (btw, if she was that bad on edited videotape, I'd hate to see her live performance!)

Republicans are stupid. By constantly claiming Biden practically has one foot in the grave or an Alzheimer care facility they set the bar astonishingly low for Biden. The uninformed viewer might have expected Biden to drop dead behind the podium. Biden not only cleared that low bar, he vaulted over it.

  8. by HatetheSwamp on March 8, 2024 4:33 pm

What the right-wingers I'm reading and hearing are saying is that Joe was clearly juiced. Someone should have checked his pee.

That anger? I'm guessing? Roid rage.

But, more power to ol Joe. If he can keep that up for eight months and not have a stroke, bang on.

po as usual...I'm calling bullshit on that.

As usual, cranial/rectal inversion is commonplace among the sheep.

Crime is not a ‘red state problem.’ It’s rising because of liberal policies
Some people are still arguing that America doesn’t have a crime crisis. The statistics say otherwise. Crime is not only upending the quality of life in Democrat-run cities, but it’s spreading far and wide, showing no sign of subsiding.

In our nation’s capital, all crime categories were up this month, with a 67% increase in robberies, 29% increase in homicides and 112% increase in motor vehicle theft.

On the other side of the country, with 58 homicides as of Sept. 20, Seattle is on pace to see the city’s highest recorded homicides in its history — the existing record is 69 in 1994.

Crime in Austin, Texas, is so bad, with crippling police staff shortages, officials are asking people who have been robbed to dial the nonemergency number 311, instead of 911.

This crime wave started after the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers in 2020. Floyd’s death spurred a criminal justice reform movement that resulted in police defunding, cashless bail, bans on vehicular pursuits and promises by prosecutors not to charge certain violent crimes as felonies.

Rather than walk back clearly unwise decisions, lawmakers and activists have chosen to gaslight the American people. Despite violent crime up 39%, D.C. Council Chairman Phil Mendelson declared “there is not a crime crisis in Washington, D.C.”

In San Francisco, businesses and residents are fleeing, though the ones who remain now lean on private security to do what police officers cannot: patrol their neighborhoods. Yet when pressed to defend left-wing criminal justice reforms, California Gov. Gavin Newsom declared that there is a crime crisis — but in red states.

This is a common and problematic talking point that pretends Republicans are the problem. As one report said, “The murder rate in the 25 states that voted for Donald Trump has exceeded the murder rate in the 25 states that voted for Joe Biden in every year from 2000 to 2020.”

But the data objectively tell the story of a diminishing quality of life in Democrat-run cities — as do the number of people fleeing California. This is why I devoted a section of my new book, “What’s Killing America: Inside the Radical Left’s Tragic Destruction of Our Cities,” to dismantling this particular talking point. What has happened in New York helps to illustrate what’s playing out in many other cities across the country.

And you can keep up with the statistics in the second 2/3 of the article..

And remember, pedojoe (like all presidents admittedly do) uses his own stats to tell you how the economy is doing.

Pedojoe does NOT use the cost of petroleum (fuel oil, engine oil, gasoline [benzine], and diesel, AND (here it comes), the cost of FOOD as pieces of his economic plan. This is why there are two things going on. First, people are paying an additional 25-50%+ for food. And gas is up 25% (national average). These are the things real Americans are worried about. With a $15-$20 minimum wage, companies are moving out those locations. No one can actually pay that. Unless it's under the table (meaning illegals are getting paid less, doing conscript work, and being abused by handlers as always).

Trumpster had two stats. One for part time jobs with folks that were looking for full-time employment as "underemployed." pedojoe calls them "employed". Trumpster especially used this in the ethnic/ racial minorities, showing their underemployment was an issue in inner cities. pedojoe calls them "employed. An important feature I think.

"Yeah I'm calling bullshit on that whole nonsense of yours. I'm sure that you are blowing facts out of all honest proportion." -me

    *sigh*

As I called it, your propagandist bullshit is blowing facts out of all rational proportion and context.

olde dude, you in no way provided a single example of how former felonies are now misdemeanors. You provided absolutely nothing to support that contention at all. Just as the author of the article you think is all that didn't.

And how long did it take you to dredge up that particular theocratic nonsense before you found something that you could pretend supports the propaganda that you want to flog in here? Look, I don't have anything against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's just that I don't look to them for balanced, unbiased, and rational journalism, od.

"No one argued that crime didn’t or doesn’t happen in red America, be it states, counties, cities or towns. But the very crime argument hinges on a simple fact: Many of the crimes the country experienced can be directly tied to specific policies, reforms and initiatives from the radical Left. That makes them almost entirely avoidable crimes." -from your article

"What is so tragic about the current crime crisis is that it’s the result of policy choices. These homicides, rapes, assaults, robberies did not have to happen. And if not for the criminal justice reforms pushed through by the radical Left, most of them would not likely have occurred." -from your article

"America’s greatest cities are being destroyed by the radical left and their actions are spreading far outside city limits." -from your article

"I wrote “What’s Killing America” so that we can learn what the radical left is up to, why they believe what they believe, and how we can take our cities back. And if we don’t act fast, we’ll go from exploring what’s killing America to what killed America." -from your article

I am sorry, but I am not going to give any credence to any editorial writer who drones on and on, and even writes a book about how "specific policies" are destroying our country... but can't actually name or cite a single, solitary example of one. That simply wallows in lameness, od.

But then, he's saying precisely what you want to hear. So that's all that really matters after all.

Sorry, od. You gave your sales pitch a really good shot. But I ain't buying it.

  14. by oldedude on March 10, 2024 12:21 pm
I didn't think you could actually look at facts.
I knew that any level of factual material and information is useless on your meager thought process. But there it is. Factual information. Piss off.
