It's rare that two of pb's three Legal Goobers appear on the same panel... even though two are Fox News contributors. But, Thursday was a magical day in the world of Dem lawfare:

1. The immunity claim Supreme Court arguments... AND...
2. The cross examination of David Pecker in Manhattan.

What pb likes about Legal Goober #2 is his ability to turn a phrase. He's always good for a quote. Both Andy McCarthy and he agree that Thursday was a baaaaaaad day for the Dems in Manhattan but Turley said it: The case is weak. "It's almost incomprehensible."

Here's the thing. By SS standards, the jury is six pos and six isles. Trump almost certainly is convicted. Truth be EFFINd@nged.

But, it may be that, for campaign purposes, Trump may win from the get-go.

The worst part of this is this is "uncharted territory" literally. There has never been a case to decide "how much" immunity the president has. I was hoping there could have been some case law regarding this, but there isn't. So SCOTUS can go from an extremely limited immunity, which defense will argue with shackle the office into making decisions that cannot be viewed without talking about sensitive and classified information that will be a danger to the US in divulging that information too soon. This would include people's lives, either involved in the information gathering, or those making the decision itself.

The other side will say there is no such thing as a classified document in their view and trumpster has no right to immunity.

I hate to say it, but I think the left will be extremely short sighted on this. Their only value system right now is getting trumpster. Nothing more. They're like the guy at a frat party that needs to get laid. They're looking for anything to get their dick wet. Tomorrow? don't worry about it.

I'm not going to predict any sort of outcome (as usual) in a case. It is interesting though for as long as the Republic lasts.

Y'know, I was able to listen to part of the oral arguments. The Justices were thinking big picture... constitutionally... not about Trump... but, about the Executive Branch itself.

And, I was wondering. If Trump loses the case outright. Then, wins in November...

...what EFFINcrimes will Trump's DOJ charge the Doddering Old Fool with!!!!!? Sorta makes me want both to happen... but, I'm following Biden. I "choose freedom over democracy."

Our friends po and isle would poop a cinder block $ize brick!!!!! Baha ha!

Y'know, I was able to listen to part of the oral arguments. The Justices were thinking big picture... constitutionally... not about Trump... but, about the Executive Branch itself.

That's what I'm really hope to happen. In my world, it CAN'T be about trumpster. That's just stupid. It has to be about the office (as you said) regardless of the person. I don't envy SCOTUS on this one. Like I said before, If it's too restrictive, all the presidents from now on will have little to no meaningful discussions in issues. No one will speak up. If it's too lenient, we get screwed as a nation by those in power not being accountable.

My view. NO ONE in government should have carte blanche on what they do. If that were the case, (I am not a crook) Nixon could have gotten away with Watergate. Is there a "criminal act" associated with the decision? I don't know if trumpster is guilty of that. Do I think the dims are loading bullsht charges just to keep him busy? Yes.

NY v. trumpster is really shady to me. It's pretty bad when the feds that hate the defendant can't dig up an illegal act to charge. In this case, prosecution has to prove the act is predicated on a federal law, but you're not in federal court because a state AG doesn't have the scope to charge federally, so they pull up a state law they specifically passed to charge one person.

As usual, my crystal ball is broke, so I'm not even going to guess on this one.

Truth: The US Supreme Court is the only adult in the SwampRoom.

That 14th Amendment deny-due-process-idiocy that po... and the whole TrumpHate world... got so lathered up about. The Court brought sanity. Heck, trashing Roe to return abortion regulation into the hands of "the people and their elected representatives?" Brilliant. Perfect!

And, now, that wacked DC Circuit immunity decision that would have made every former President a target for politicized prosecutors and judges after their term...

...I'm certain that po and isle, et.al., would destroy the balance among the three branches of government just to get Trump.

The Roberts Court is saving the Republic... at least for one more decade.
