What has Hunter Biden been charged with that Donald Trump hasn't been charged with the same or similar?

I don't recall Republicans ever being so enthusiastic about the enforcement of income tax and gun laws. Republicans are usually eager to cut IRS funding and repeal gun control laws.

Hunter Biden yesterday was indicted on nine counts. Donald Trump is facing 91 counts in four separate criminal indictments. Plus Trump is facing tax and bank fraud charges in civil court.

While visiting a gun store, Trump even asked to buy a Glock pistol on camera—which would have brazenly violated the very same law that recently landed Hunter Biden criminal charges.

The diff? Based on pb's Legal Goobers, nearly all of the charges against Trump are Kangaroo Court abuses. While what Hunter Biden is facing is justified and a long time coming...and, most likely, the tip of a huuuuuuuuuge iceberg. Baha.

    HtS,
So you are saying the charges may not be different, but it's fair in one case and unfair in the other.

See link for other brief examples of what is and isn't a crime according to Republicans.

    Curt,

Again. I'm not po. I'm not a former Supreme Court intern and sitting Federal Judge. All I have is my three Legal Goobers.

"I'm not a former Supreme Court intern and sitting Federal Judge. All I have is my three Legal Goobers." ---HtS

In law, ignorantia juris non excusat (Latin for "ignorance of the law excuses not"), or ignorantia legis neminem excusat ("ignorance of law excuses no one").

So if you don't have any knowledge or opinions of your own and you only parrot what other say or think why don't you simply quote them with proper citations?

HtS, you really toe the line as to what is and isn't a crime according to Republicans.

    Not a crime: Federal crimes.
All federal crimes are charged and prosecuted by the Department of Justice.
Crime: State and local crimes, if they happen in an urban area or in states run by Democrats.
Not a crime: Any crime that happens in rural areas or in states run by Republicans.

Crime: What the Republicans imagine Hunter Biden did.
Not a crime: What Hunter Biden will actually plead guilty to.
Specifically: two misdemeanor counts of failing to pay his taxes on time. Because tax crimes are not real crimes to Republicans.
Gun-purchasing crimes are also not considered real crimes.
Also not a crime: What the Trump family did.
There is vast evidence of actual influence-peddling and self-dealing by the Trump family and the Trump Organization during and after Mr. Trump’s presidency, which would seem to violate the emoluments clause of the Constitution and any number of federal ethics guidelines.

I'm going to guess that you are paraphrasing. Because no attorney worth their billing would say that. Unless they are intentionally lying.

Are you listening to liars or retards, Bill?

  6. by oldedude on December 8, 2023 3:09 pm
Lead. I'm not sure they know they sound exactly like the folks they're accusing of being little germans. Exactly in lockstep. Exactly bleating the same thing. They're throwing stones at a mirror and don't even get it.

It could be MAGA. It could be them. It could be the morons who use violence against others in a "peaceful" protest. There is no such thing as "mostly" a peaceful protest. When violence breaks out, regardless of how many, it is no longer peaceful. If you stay, you're part of the violence.

    Curt,

On this very day, I've linked to videos from each of my three Legal Goobers.

And, to the title of your thread, based on what legal eagles whose judgment I've come to trust are saying, nearly all of the charges against Trump are, well, trumped up and, in the end, any bogus convictions almost certainly will be overturned.

The Hunter stuff is serious but, due to his white privilege, won't involve serious consequence.

  8. by Curt_Anderson on December 8, 2023 3:38 pm
Spare me the videos too. I don’t need to hear 10 minutes of some Fox News legal analyst pontificating and blathering for one supposed nugget of information. Just quote the relevant line or two. If you want to include the video in addition to their quote, that’s fine.

Why anybody would not at least suspect that Trump is a tax cheat is beyond me. He is the guy who promised for years to release his taxes “as soon as the audit was done”. As far as I recall, he never has actually released his taxes. What he paid in taxes was eventually exposed. When he did pay taxes on his income, he paid minuscule amounts of $750 for the year.

Whoa Nellie Belle. You're posting this to the wrong fella. I truly think Trump is despicable.

    Whataboutism don't fly here.

But, despicable though Trump may be, Hunter is, if a tenth of the indictment is true Hunter has taken Trump's despicability to a whole new level! He's not merely a tax cheat. He's truly depraved.

  11. by Curt_Anderson on December 8, 2023 3:58 pm
    HtS,
When I suggested in the opening post that the charges and accusations of Trump's income tax evasion sound very similar to Hunter's, you responded in separate comments that Trump is the victim of a "kangaroo court" and facing "trumped up" charges.

Not to mention the Pussy-Grabber-in-Chief and Jeffrey Epstein pal has probably has more than Stormy Daniels on his conjugal visitation list.

  12. by HatetheSwamp on December 8, 2023 4:03 pm

I'm merely reflecting the opinions of my Legal Goobers.

But, I will add...and remind you...that Indy and I have agreed for years that Trump is too slimy to get caught. Hunter? Not so much.

  13. by Indy! on December 8, 2023 7:23 pm

Trump wanted to buy a glock? Well that's one way to be sure he doesn't make it to the general.

  14. by oldedude on December 8, 2023 7:36 pm
trumpster as a Jeffrey Epstein pal

Ghisliane Maxwell has said that although she knew trumpster, it was in a social setting and was NOT part of the sex trade.

However, she wouldn't say anything about the clitons.

"Ghisliane Maxwell has said that although she knew trumpster, it was in a social setting and was NOT part of the sex trade.' ---OD

👍 Score one for your guy! A convicted felon says that Trump socialized with Jeffrey Epstein, but there was no sex trade. Do you think she meant that Trump and Epstein didn't trade sex partners or did she mean sex trade as in sex for money?

  16. by oldedude on December 9, 2023 2:49 am
AND the woman giving testimony said she was introduced to trumpster and did not have sex with him at any time.

You missed the other part of that. The clitons were also on the plane and went on several trips. She wouldn't talk about them. If they were also innocent, I would have thought she would have cleared their name also.

Maybe hill likes teenie girls. Someone she can manipulate and feel good about herself. Without bill. Or maybe they share.

  18. by Indy! on December 9, 2023 4:52 pm

Interesting that Ghislane was so carefree about admitting to the sex trade she was involved in. Isn't it about time the entire list of every involved is released publicly and the FBI starts investigating people like Bill Gates, Alan Douchowitz and the other pedophiles who rode the plane and spent time on the island?
