"This is an actual incitement": Legal experts alarmed after Trump pushes "citizen's arrest"
Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday reposted a Truth Social post calling for a "citizen's arrest" of New York Attorney General Letitia James and Judge Arthur Engoron, who is overseeing his fraud trial. Trump shared a post by a user describing his "fantasy": "I WOULD LIKE TO SEE LITITIA JAMES AND JUDGE ENGORON PLACED UNDER CITIZENS ARREST FOR BLATANT ELECTION INTERFERENCE AND HARASSMENT."

Legal experts expressed alarm over the post. "Sometimes he says incendiary things that his followers act on, as in 'will be wild.' This is an actual incitement to break the law and it greatly endangers the judge and AG," tweeted former U.S. Attorney Harry Litman.

George Washington University Law Prof. Jonathan Turley, who frequently defends Trump in the media, also warned: "Just in case anyone is taking such a statement as more than a fantasy, there is no basis for a citizen’s arrest and such an effort to physically hold either the judge or the attorney general would most certainly constitute a criminal act."

Baha. Cute, Curt. But, you can't be honest, ain't? "The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth..." NOT.

    Also from Turley's article:

There is obviously rage on both sides and personal attacks (including President Biden reportedly calling one of his critics a “pr**k” this week and attacking Trump supporters as enemies of the Republic). Both parties are seeking to enrage their supporters while denouncing the other party as fueling rage.

These leaders are throwing matches at a tinderbox and people of good faith need to call out these leaders for such inflammatory rhetoric.

    Baha keehee baha ha, ahhhhhhhhhhh.

    HtS,
What I posted above is a true verbatim quote of the article I linked to, but you can't handle the truth. It is exactly what Turley is reported to have said, no more, no less.

Nor can you report the truth. Joe Biden never made a public statement anything like what you attributed to him. I don't doubt he privately thought that somebody was a prick or that he thinks that Trump's election-denying, insurrection-apologizing supporters are enemies of the republic, but what decent citizen hasn't?

Just got back from another few days with my Dad - here is my Fox update...

The network is pushing the "liberals are the enemy" nonsense even harder than you can imagine. It's astonishing how open they are with their vitriol against their fellow Americans - some of whom they apparently do not understand are white people just like them (only not quite as white - because nobody is that white).

And Trump is feeding them and controlling their weak, gullible minds with rhetoric about the left being "vermin" that are taking up space in this country that rightly belongs to conservatives or something.

You know, if Trump and the right want him to stop being compared to Hitler, he should stop talking and acting exactly like him.

Biden suggested those phrases were intentional reminders of Nazi Germany as the former president vows vengeance against his opponents.

"In just the last few days, Trump has said if he returns to office, he's going to go after all those who oppose him and wipe out what he called the 'vermin' -- quote, the 'vermin' in America. A specific phrase with a specific meaning," he said Tuesday evening at a fundraiser in San Francisco. "It echoes language you heard in Nazi Germany in the '30s. And it isn't even the first time."

"Trump also recently talked about, quote, 'the blood of America is being poisoned' -- 'the blood of America is being poisoned.' Again, echoes the same phrases used in Nazi Germany," he said. "Folks, we can't fail. We can't fail to treat the threat that he poses."

And Hate and od, along with a great deal of the MAGA Republican party have spontaneous orgasms hearing him speak that way. And he knows it. He's counting on it. Trump's racist dictatorship talk is music to their ears. It's their siren call.

Hate and od can't wait until he gets elected and can do everything that he's threatening to do to all the people and minorities that he and they hate.

Hate and od won't even deny it.

Historians immediately noted that “vermin” was a dehumanizing term used by Hitler to justify the Holocaust of millions of Jews as eliminating an “inferior race.”

Trump’s spokesman, Steven Cheung, rejected as “ridiculous” the comparison of Trump to fascists. He went on to say that those drawing the parallels are “snowflakes” driven by hatred of Trump, adding, apparently without irony, that “their sad, miserable existence will be crushed when President Trump returns to the White House.”
