Massive Pro-Israel Rally Scheduled in Washington, DC

The collaborative effort, which is being spearheaded by Jewish Federations of North America and Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, will bring together Americans from all walks of life to stand publicly and proudly in support of Israel. The event will focus on showing solidarity with Israel, demanding the immediate release of the hostages being held by Hamas and condemning the rise in antisemitic violence and harassment.

    Actually, the first course ol pb took in grad school was READINGS IN LUTHER. It's waaaaaaaaaay to simplistic to say that Luther was an an antisemite...not like po and you, anyway.

    Early on, after the 1517 brouhaha, Luther was optimistic about Jews converting to Lutheran then, when it became clear that they wouldn't, he got nasty. I hope that this truth won't interfere with your desire to hang with the Lutherans...some of 'em actually are antisemites. You'd fit in well enough...

    ...and, the ELCA gang'd be open to the trans gang.

    In pb's progressive days, we'd never have taken lightly the acts of barbarism of one people upon another...precisely as Donna and po have here regarding October 7.

    po, especially, makes it clear in being baffled and offended when pb cites the wisdom of classic lib...Jew,...Alan Dershowitz. It's only now that pb's begun to suspect that po's problem with Dershowitz is that he is a Jew and that he is unflinching in his aggressive support for Israel. po...and Donna... are Obama progressives and that ain't a good thing!

    "What he did was contribute to the risks to not only Israelis, but Americans, because it's coming to a theater near you," Dershowitz told host Maria Bartiromo. "If Hamas is not stopped in its tracks from doing the terrorist acts, they will bring them to the United States."

    Everything Dershowitz says about Obama is true of our own progressives.

    pb's noted many times that if people like Alan Dershowitz were mainstream among progressives, pb'd still be a progressive but he ain't.

    Netanyahoo is endangering the lives Israeli citizens as much as Hamas is. The lives of over 4,500 Palestinian children have been snuffed out by Israel's state of the art weaponry. How many of their friends and family members do you think will become future terrorists after experiencing what they're going through right now?

    Even citizens of southern Israel, towns like Sderot where Hamas terrorists snuffed out the lives of some 1,400 Israeli citizens, including many children, are livid that Netanyahoo didn't protect them against the mass murderes who are Hamas.

    Btw, a poll that was taken in Gaza the day before the massacre Hamas carried out on October 7th shows that almost three-quarters of Gazans are anti-Hamas.

    Both Palestinians and Israelis are being served poorly by their governments and have been for decades.

    I will continue to support Israelis and Palestinians as well as Muslims and Jews worldwide, but I absolutely will not support the current Israeli government nor Hamas.

    My dad, a rural boy, raised in lily white Pennsylvania Amish country was, indeed, never comfortable among people who were not white, even German-American. But he was drug to church pret'near every Sunday by his mom and learned that Jesus was a Jew. Dad met few Jews in his life, as far as I know but he there warnt a antisemitic bone in his body. My recollection of the 1967 and 1973 Yom Kippur attempts to destroy Israel is that he was sympathetic to Israel's cause.

    I guess you're right, Hate. No children have been killed in Gaza. It's all part of an anti-Israel conspiracy campaign led by Hamas and their accomplices at the UN and the US lamestream media.

    Btw I don't trust Hamas's numbers either, but with that said, it's clear that fatalities in Gaza are very high.

    I marvel at the consistency of the hatred of the IDF and supporting HAMAS. The only time they say anything about the men, women, and children on 10/7 is as an "afterthought" to claim they care about both.

    I might be on the same tract IF Hamas would have entered Israel and found military targets and took them out. That is an act of war. Mano y mano. and kept civilian deaths down. The reverse happened. They were ordered to murder civilians. They were told how to do it and taught how to implement those acts. Hamas is made of Gazarians. Or doesn't anyone understand that? Because if you don't, you're missing the lead story of Hamas.

    And think about this... I'm just thinking that curts numbers about the people of Gaza not wanting Hamas. It didn't include any of the terrorists that were there on 10/7. To fight for Hamas in the Gaza is an honor and an expectation of all families.
