Can anyone imagine any Democrat ever having this level of flaming hypocrisy?

Jim Jordan Shows 'Flaming Hypocrisy' in Subpoena Battle: Legal Experts

Representative Jim Jordan, an Ohio Republican, showed "flaming hypocrisy" after he handed down a wave of subpoenas targeting several Biden officials despite previously dodging subpoenas himself, according to some legal experts.

"Jim Jordan ignored subpoenas & refused to answer questions from the 1/6 Comm. Now, as head of the Judiciary Comm., he's expecting others to respect the same congressional procedures he ignored. Talk about hypocrisy," tweeted lawyer Norm Eisen, who co-authored a Slate article published on Thursday about Jordan's performance as the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.

On Friday, Jordan issued a number of subpoenas targeting Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and Education Secretary Miguel Cardona in an ongoing effort to investigate the alleged "weaponization" of federal agencies under the Biden administration.

Jordan, among other Republicans, expects a response to the subpoenas he issued. However, the GOP lawmaker never complied when he received one after being investigated for his alleged role in undermining Joe Biden's 2020 presidential victory.

It's always enjoyable to see a phrase I have used for so long to describe GOP members being adopted by the professional media.

Now the Ds will "take the high road" and actually appear to answer his insipid questions thereby playing their part as the perpetual looooooooooooooooooooooooosers in this stupid kabuki theater presentation of "America Circling the Drain". And Curt, Pondy and Donna will knowingly nod their heads, point their fingers at the Rs and say "HYPOCRITES!" as their D heroes are shackled and frog marched off to prison.

  2. by HatetheSwamp on July 18, 2023 11:38 am

    The uniparty.

What I do love is to watch...po and Curt, especially, poop themselves as the HouseGOPs use the same script that Nancy Pelosi wrote to impeach OrangeMan over that perfect phone call, knowing that blue shade uniparty people can't do an effin thing about it.

    Bahahahahahahahahahaha.

  3. by Indy! on July 18, 2023 12:15 pm

It's hilarious how the Ds pretend they are morally superior by bowing down to every crazy ass request the Rs invent for them when the reality is they are merely sado-masochists who enjoy being cucked.

    Democrats in pictures...

I don't know what hearings you've watched or what reports of the hearings you've read, but the GOP hearings despite all their hoopla and promises of bringing down the Biden administration have been underwhelming. Sometimes comically so.

HtS touted tomorrow's hearing. James Comer promises that (unspoken but understood "this time") it will be "substantive". Thursday, the anti-Semitic crackpot, RFK Jr., will the Republicans, witness decrying "censorship".

  6. by HatetheSwamp on July 18, 2023 12:52 pm

    Curt,

One thing that Comer said about tomorrow is that these whistle-blowers will cover one effin third of the documented Biden corruption they know about for certain.

But, here's the beauty of what's going on. Even bluish purple GOP Nancy Mace is on board with moving toward impeachments.

It doesn't matter if everything you want to believe about the Doddering Old Fool and the GOP case against him is true,... the GOP's ready to roll! Baha baha!

  7. by Indy! on July 18, 2023 1:21 pm

Just what we need in this country - another fake impeachment trial.

  8. by HatetheSwamp on July 18, 2023 1:27 pm

I'm pretty sure that we may have as many as three: Garland, Mayorkas and the Doddering Old Fart.

  9. by Indy! on July 18, 2023 1:36 pm

Just more theater to waste time and ensure that "nothing fundamentally changes". Anyone who still doesn't believe that things like advertising, marketing and propaganda don't work? Just look at how many people - on this board alone - are more interested and spend more time arguing over prosecuting their (imagined) political "opponents" instead of demanding their "side" actually do something to make this country better. I bet our government spends more time on ineffectual court proceedings that lead to nothing of import than every other country in the world combined. We're eating ourselves alive from the inside.

  10. by HatetheSwamp on July 18, 2023 2:23 pm

    It's really political porn.

It's an off year election year. Imagine how low Rachel's ratings'd be without this.

  11. by Donna on July 18, 2023 3:17 pm

"...instead of demanding their "side" actually do something to make this country better." - Indy

And then when predictably, Republican lawmakers filibuster or vote against it like they always do, then what? Blame that on the Dems? Oh that's right. The Dems are working with the GOPs to keep any laws from getting passed that help working class Americans. That's how the conspiracy goes, right?

  12. by Ponderer on July 18, 2023 4:00 pm

As regards to your #2. post, Bill...

A more stark and demonstrative example of a MAGA Republican's inability to construct an equitable comparison I have never before this day seen.

  13. by Indy! on July 18, 2023 5:17 pm

Donna - name the last good thing the Ds did to help average Americans. And no - I don't mean Curt's laundry list of nothingness from the DNC pr department. Give me something real like the GOP gets - they killed Roe - that was something real they accomplished for their... ahem... "side". Give me the equivalent the Ds have done. Something tangible.

BTW, when you play the stupid words games like throwing "conspiracy" at me it just proves what I said about your trending further rightward since I left. That's the kind of shit the right does in an attempt to impugn arguments. Even Curt is sophisticated enough to understand that - he does it all the time.

  14. by Donna on July 18, 2023 5:58 pm

I was only assigning the word to what you've been describing.

  15. by Donna on July 18, 2023 6:24 pm

I'm not going to allow you to reduce Biden's accomplishments to a "laundry list of nothingness". The bills he and the Dems passed along with some help from Republicans are going to put a lot of Americans back to work and improve our country's infrastructure to boot. We as a nation won't see those benefits overnight, but they certainly are in the works as I write. Biden's semiconductor initiative alone was a huge step forward for working class Americans.

Killing the rights of Americans, as Republican SC justices have done, is easy. Getting something done for working class Americans is much more difficult.

You, like curt are an immediate gratifier. What charges have been brought forward (unlike trumpster's). The issue is this is methodical. One step at a time for the GOP. You (et.al) want charges first, proof second. Unfortunately, that's not how our system works. If you knew anything that a sixth grader would know about our legal system, this would be clear. Plus, I think they are looking at something rarely done. Impeaching a sitting president out of office. If your not a pedojoe beliber, the issue is that your party looks like crap. I agree that was the case with trumpster.

  17. by Indy! on July 18, 2023 7:43 pm

Ah.. nothing. That's what I thought. And you need to look up the definition of the word "conspiracy".

  18. by Indy! on July 18, 2023 7:44 pm

BTW, Roe was a 50 year project. Looks like you also need to look up the definition of "easy".

Exactly, od! I wouldn't have put it like that of course, but it's gratifying to hear, in your roundabout way, that you agree with me about the Republican party.

It's actually great believing in the rule of law instead of our "feelings" every time an "issue" comes up. Happy to be there!

The bills he and the Dems passed along with some help from Republicans...

And you deny that the GOP is the home of openness and inclusion and tolerance and acceptance, diversity...and, freethinking.

Joe'd'a got nuthin done apart from GOP freethinking. And, you, as po'd say, EFFIN know it!

"And you deny that the GOP is the home of openness and inclusion and tolerance and acceptance, diversity...and, freethinking." -Hate

Yes. Absolutely I deny it. As much as I deny that the world is flat.

So just because there was a tiny fraction of sane Republican congress people (which thankfully is all it took) who helped the Democrats (who are the minority party at present) pass much needed bills into law, you think that it somehow by osmosis turned the rest of the flaming MAGA hats in Congress into some kind of open minded liberals...???

Seriously, Bill. Statements like this one you are currently trying to flog in this forum are a stark admission and blatant evidence to the fact of just how demented and willfully ignorant of reality you are.

Or you are just trying to fuckwith us with that ludicrous absurdity.

  24. by HatetheSwamp on July 19, 2023 6:43 am

So just because there was a tiny fraction of sane Republican congress people...

That is, precisely what, as you'd say, EFFIN openness and diversity, acceptance, tolerance, inclusion and FREETHINKING means...concepts clearly foreign to you...

...but everyday to good ol pb!

Baha baha bahahahahahahahahahaha baha hahahahahahahahaha baha, ahhhhhhhhhhh.

  25. by Ponderer on July 19, 2023 6:43 am

Joe wouldn't have accomplished anything if there hadn't been a few Republicans who bucked their party's sociopathy and actually wanted to do what was right and what's best for the American people.

And there is no good and honorable deed that those few Republicans performed that their MAGA Hatted constituents won't make them pay for come next election.

    "Tell me about it."

  26. by Ponderer on July 19, 2023 6:53 am

"That is, precisely what, as you'd say, EFFIN openness and diversity, acceptance, tolerance, inclusion and FREETHINKING means..." -Hate

I see. So the fact that there are about as many sane, duty bound Republicans in Congress as you can count on one hand totally makes up for the vast, near entirety of the party who are mindless, Trump boot-kissing lemmings that slavishly support and promote any heinous act against openness, diversity, acceptance, tolerance, inclusion, free thinking, this country's well being, and its people. I see.

You are a demented loon, Bill.

  27. by HatetheSwamp on July 19, 2023 6:56 am

So the fact that there are about as many sane, duty bound Republicans in Congress as you can count on one hand totally makes up for the vast, near entirety of the party who...

    No.

But it proves that the GOP is the home of openness and acceptance and tolerance, diversity, inclusion and, most of all...FREETHINKING!

  28. by Ponderer on July 19, 2023 7:10 am

"But it proves that the GOP is the home of openness and acceptance and tolerance, diversity, inclusion and, most of all...FREETHINKING!" -Hate

Only to your poor demented and warped excuse for a mind, Bill.

A person would literally have to be mentally handicapped in some way to actually believe that is anything close to the truth.

  29. by HatetheSwamp on July 19, 2023 11:38 am

Except that all of Biden's legislative victories are thanks to the reality that the GOP is the home of openness and acceptance and inclusion and diversity and tolerance and...FREETHINKING.

Otherwise, we'd be saying that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" hasn't passed one piece of meaningful legislation.
