Times: Registration 8:00 am, Start 8:30 am
Distance: Approximately 4.6 miles. (Measured with a pedometer wheel at 4.6. Gmapped at 4.4245) We recommend that runners wear their own individual tracking devices.
Start Location: Hargadine & Fork Streets, Ashland Oregon
Entrance Fee: Free! Donations gladly accepted.
Refreshments: Provided at the end of the race.

Practice run: Are you interested in a free tour and one or more practice runs of the course before the race? See first link below.

The Ashland Run is the oldest continuous competitive run in Ashland, Oregon. Founded and still organized by brothers Steve and Doug Hoxmeier, this is a very low key, informal affair and always plenty of fun. It's a great tune-up for the Ashland Fourth of July Run. For almost a half century, since the first Ashland Run in the mid-seventies, the race has been held every Saturday prior to Memorial Day. The rugged four and half mile (approximate) course starts near the corner of Pioneer and Hargadine Streets in Ashland, which is in front of the outdoor Shakespeare Theatre. The course runs through several neighborhoods, alleys, trails, winds through Lithia Park and finishes near the starting line. The approximate halfway point of the race is 500 feet higher than the low point, the library, which is a quarter mile into the run.

I mentioned that I promoting a friend's fun run. Here is a blurb that I submitted to the local online newspaper. It features a photo of me in that race from six years ago.

    Curt,

In the picture, was the rest of the field eating your dust?

Nobody was eating my dust. The elite and serious runners were well ahead of me. The plodders were behind me.
