I don't even recall hearing of it. I understand Signal is not dissimilar in appearance to texting. In a text group each member can see who else is in the group. So in this situation, NOT ONE of these goofballs questioned the inclusion of Jeffrey Goldberg, including the people who are supposed to be concerned about national security. Nobody said "I don't recognize person". If you are going to claim that it's not easy to tell who else is in on a Signal group chat, then there is no way that the Defense Department, State Department, security and intelligence directors should use it for communication. In Hegseth's case (like others on the chat group), he denied, dissembled about the content of the messages with tortured semantic arguments and with lame attempts at misdirection.
