It's actually extremely simple to understand...

Once you realize that Donald Trump has for years been an active Russian asset who Putin has tasked with dismantling/destroying the United States of America, everything he does suddenly makes perfect, logical sense.

Absolutely nothing he has been doing is in any way meant for the benefit of American citizens. All the cuts, all the departments closed, all the economic chaos, all the laws broken, all the seemingly treasonous foreign policy decisions, all the willful incompetence, all the unimaginably unqualified appointments, all the strife and confusion he is causing... absolutely NONE OF IT benefits the American people in any way whatsoever. It was never intended to. It is all meant to tear this country down.

Trump and his billionaire friends will be the only ones who benefit in any way at all. The loot they make off with out of all this is their reward for assisting Putin and his orange puppet in his destruction of this nation as a free country.

I cannot recall one instance in American history where the president did a 180 and suded with the enemy, until now. The regime is now wall-to-wall traitors. Unfucking real.

My dad, a lifelong Republican, died a Mitt Romney fan. Like Mitt, he would have been aghast at what his party has become.

    Not confusing…

Hegseth suspends offensive cyber operations against Russia: reports

President Trump's Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered U.S. Cyber Command to suspend offensive cyber and information operations against Russia, according to multiple reports.

Why it matters: It's the latest in a series of foreign policy reversals that appear favorable to The Kremlin, setting off alarm bells for U.S. allies, supporters of Ukraine and critics of the Trump administration.

"I cannot recall one instance in American history where the president did a 180 and suded with the enemy, until now."

And, thankfully, that isn't happening now.

    HtS,
Your problem is that you don’t know who our enemies are.

  5. by Donna on March 3, 2025 8:54 am

I also can't think of one thing the regime has bucked Putin on.

Donald wants to be in the International Dictator's Club. They're the only world leaders he respects.

We aren't going to allow Donald to do that to our country.

We know that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" was financing Ukraine losing slowly.

What's the current regime doing to back Russia?

  7. by Curt_Anderson on March 3, 2025 9:31 am
When Vladimir Putin began his invasion, he expected to take control of Ukraine within 10 days. By his own measure Russia's military has been a spectacular failure.

Russia's goal is to conquer Ukraine. They have failed in achieving their goal.

Ukraine's goal is to keep from being conquered. Kiev still stands. The Ukrainian people are fighting and beating back the Russians.

Russia is losing, Ukraine is winning.

Kremlin: Trump foreign policy ‘largely aligns’ with our vision
Russia said President Trump’s foreign policy “largely aligns” with its vision.

“The new administration is rapidly changing all foreign policy configurations,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, according to Russian state media. “This largely aligns with our vision.”

Wow, Curt, you swallowing Putin's propaganda now? Hook, line and sinker?

That's got to be a variation on Good Germaning for Zelenskyy but I have trouble keeping up.

"I have trouble keeping up." --HtS

    Truer words were never spoken.

When former rivals say their visions are aligned and the leaders exchange compliments and flattery, they are no longer rivals.

Trump even went so far as to castigate Zelenskyy for "the hatred he’s got for Putin". Really? Is Zelenskyy supposed to ignore the invasion and all the death and carnage that Putin caused in Ukraine? Putin is Trump's bff.

  11. by HatetheSwamp on March 3, 2025 10:48 am

    Curt,

I do have trouble keeping up with you... and Trump.

I'm the most hawkish SSer on Ukraine, by far. I was criticizing your "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" for his impotent, incompetent response to Putin EFFINbefore Russia invaded Ukraine. I criticized the Former Truck Driver continually to the end...

... and if Trump doesn't come through for Ukraine, I'll scream more loudly than anyone here.

But, to this point,... in five weeks,... I can't see that Trump has actually done anything about the war in Ukraine. I'm annoyed. I'm becoming impatient. But, you lot were complacent the whole time the Flatulent Fool's gang patiently engineered Ukraine’s gradual annihilation.

As your Doddering is Fool would say, "C'mon man. Gimme a break!"

    HtS,
Congress famously holds the purse strings. Congress has to approve spending on the war in Ukraine or any other expenditure. A US president cannot unilaterally provide Ukraine with aid without congressional approval.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden said Friday that a Republican holdup on sending new U.S. aid to Ukraine for its war with Russia was “close to criminal neglect”.

Are you suggesting that the "dithering and diminished" "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" provided no leadership in the US's support of Ukraine?

  14. by Curt_Anderson on March 3, 2025 11:40 am
Do you mean Trump? His only “leadership” in support of Ukraine was transactional based on Zelenskyy smearing his then-likely political opponent.

  15. by HatetheSwamp on March 3, 2025 11:47 am

    Curt,

Trump's presidency is five weeks old. So far, as far as I can tell, he's actually done nuthin, except talk some about the war... in a way that is incomprehensible to me.

I hear TDSers, such as po and you, claim be able to read his mind... a some MAGAs suggest that he's about to earn the Nobel Peace Prize.

But, in terms of what he's done? I get nuthin.

  16. by Curt_Anderson on March 3, 2025 11:57 am
Trump has been president for 53 weeks. His antipathy for Zelenskyy is as obvious as his bromance with Putin.

Donald Trump Said He'd End Ukraine War in First 24 Hours. He Hasn't
He said in May 2023 he could end the war in "24 hours"—and told a rally in June 2024 he could end the conflict even before he entered the White House.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered U.S. Cyber Command to suspend offensive cyber and information operations against Russia, according to multiple reports. For the duration of the negotiations.

This is not unusual while negotiations are going on. This time, though, it is dangerous. Russia will not do that. Cyber operations are the biggest tool in its armoury for use against democracy wherever it is, including election interference.

Russi will take advantage of the free rein it is being given.

  20. by Donna on March 3, 2025 4:35 pm

I read that a little while ago, meagain.

I don't understand why you think it's okay for Trump to deprioritize cyber security vis-a-vis Russia. Putin would understand why the US needs to have strong cyber security.

  21. by Donna on March 3, 2025 4:36 pm

Plus, Trump isn't negotiating with Russia. Putin's people are saying that Trump is fully onboard with Putin.

It won't surprise me if Trump orders a special operation to depose President Zelenskyy.

  22. by HatetheSwamp on March 4, 2025 6:32 am

"Plus, Trump isn't negotiating with Russia. Putin's people are saying that Trump is fully onboard with Putin."

C'mon man. Gimme a break! Do you know what propaganda is. You're suggesting that "Putin's people" are journalists.

You are such a friggin hoot, Donna!

  23. by meagain on March 4, 2025 6:42 am
"I don't understand why you think it's okay for Trump to deprioritize cyber security vis-a-vis Russia."

Where did I say that? It is disastrous if it is continued. It is how Russia would defeat America without firing a shot. Laying open all of America's defense operations for Russia to access.

What I said is that it would be normal to do this while negotiations between the countries are taking place. Normal for both countries to stop. What is not normal and is actually an indication of Trump and company's loyalty to Putin is to keep it going. By setting a date for its duration, they are doing that. Negotiations will have ended long before that.
