Why is he talking to the viewer like THEY are the media? HE'S the media. HE'S the one who put Trump on the "liberal" news stations 24/7/365 the last 3 elections (although slightly less in 2020). HE'S the one who gets "distracted" and wastes time on things that don't matter.

  2. by Donna on February 5, 2025 7:19 am

So the media shouldn't ever talk about Trump?

  3. by HatetheSwamp on February 5, 2025 7:23 am

    Donna,

Trump has your beloved SwampMedia wrapped around his little finger. Over here, on this side of the cast cultural divide? We're laughing... at you, rats running through Trump's maze.

  4. by Ponderer on February 5, 2025 7:42 am

It's as if Hate's greatest entertainment is going to huge fires and laughing at the firemen trying to put it out. He thinks their efforts are hysterical to watch.

Because he helped start the fire.

  5. by HatetheSwamp on February 5, 2025 7:42 am

You don't handle being disagreed with very well, eh? Hence your devotion to those insane MTN videos you swallow hook, line and sinker.

  6. by meagain on February 5, 2025 8:13 am

"So the media shouldn't ever talk about Trump?"

The media loves talking to Trump. Bad news sells and bad people are bad news.

  7. by Indy! on February 5, 2025 10:06 am

Meagain understands (at least on one level). Trump saved CNN and MSNBC in 2016. He's their bread and butter for ratings. Yes, they SHOULD talk about him a REASONABLE amount of time to REPORT THE NEWS. Not to turn their networks into 24 hour Trump porn for the "gotcha" crowd. Meanwhile, not a single one of them will hold the Ds feet to the flames when it comes to doing something ABOUT Trump. Those who are still watching this garbage - take this test... When the host - RachelRachelRachel, Chris, Larry, whoever - asks a D "what are they going to do to stop Trump (or his actions) - they NEVER get a straight answer. The D NEVER says anything tangible.

  8. by Donna on February 5, 2025 10:50 am

    Join Indivisible.

I'm done with arguing with MAGAs and the like. All of my efforts will be channeled in activism.

  9. by Indy! on February 5, 2025 10:56 am

Took a look at it. Looks like it's another front for the Ds. Lots of "fight trump" and "Defend Democracy" stuff. Just more reactive "solutions" - temporary fixes until the next onerous candidate is elected.

  10. by Donna on February 5, 2025 10:58 am

Well then fuck you. Don't join.

Btw, you're dead wrong about Indivisible.

  11. by Indy! on February 5, 2025 11:07 am

Look at the front page, Donna - these are the 5 issues they chose for their front page...

"Fight back against Trump and Musk"

    "Demand action against Trump/Musk"

"...defend our democracy against Trump's authoritarian agenda"

    "Fight back against (Trump's) nominations..."

    "Fascists depend on..."

What part of that DOESN'T fit in with everything the Ds are doing/saying? Every single one of those is REactive - not PROactive. And yes, I looked inside at some of the events they have planned - lots of protests (how well has that worked in the post-Vietnam world?) and other 1960s boomer crap just like the Ds are doing.

I get that your tired of arguing with Rs - and I agree and I'm right with you. What you just can not seem to grasp is the Ds are basically the same exact thing with slightly difference social issues. They're not looking for REAL change - they're looing for decorum and a way to feel comfortable about their government.

  12. by Ponderer on February 5, 2025 11:55 am

Mobilizing the American people in an organized fashion to fight back against Trump and Musk, demand action against Trump/Musk, defend our democracy against Trump's authoritarian agenda, and fight back against Trump's nominations... isn't proactive...?

What's your great plan to get people to organize and fight back without trying to get them to? What are the Democrats supposed to do without the people of the country on their side?

  13. by Donna on February 5, 2025 12:34 pm

I'm done with people who just want to sit on their ass and complain about everything.

  14. by HatetheSwamp on February 5, 2025 1:19 pm

    I said.

Your Fight Fascism video nailed it. That's your future, become people of openness and inclusion, acceptance, tolerance, diversity and freethinking.

    But, can you achieve that.

  15. by Indy! on February 5, 2025 1:44 pm

I'm actually doing the serious work that needs to be done - spreading the word about how we can CHANGE the Ds so they can win long term AND actually make a difference when they DO win. Did you guys read the Rolling Stone article on David Hogg? OD - of all people - actually gave you some useful information as to what is going wrong and what needs to be done. What have I been telling you for years? That the youth doesn't give a rat's ass about your boomer "issues" or who's fucking what up in DC. Why? Because the Ds are NO BETTER to them. They elect Ds and GET NOTHING. So why would they turn out? And who told you they wouldn't turn out? Oh - that would be me. So of course the D Party was SHOCKED!!!! - SHOCKED!!!! I tell you that the young vote abandoned them. Who wasn't shocked? Me. Because I knew it was coming.

But why listen to me? Certainly not because I was right about EVERY FUCKING ELECTION SINCE BILL CLINTON WAS PRESIDENT.

Yeah... I'm the bad guy, people. 🙄

  16. by HatetheSwamp on February 5, 2025 1:49 pm

"They elect Ds and GET NOTHING."

    Exactly!

Swamp politics on both sides has been about schmoozing voters.

    With Dems, it still is!

  17. by Indy! on February 5, 2025 1:52 pm

Fuck off, MAGAt. You're not the answer - your a Trumper of the highest order.

  18. by HatetheSwamp on February 5, 2025 2:00 pm

The point is that Trump is delivering. Girls' sports. Federal employee buyouts. H€ck, he's even promising to build beach condos in Gaza!

And, all Dems do is b!tch and scream. Talk. All talk.

  19. by Ponderer on February 5, 2025 2:09 pm

Indy!, seriously, what have you ever proposed that the D's should do other than STOP doing something? You and our old pal Cascade are quite alike. All talk about what needs to stop, without a mind to what comes next. Stop supporting the two-party system blah blah blah. Just sit there on your asses and things will just get better if enough people sit on their asses. Jesus God.

  20. by Indy! on February 5, 2025 2:30 pm

You're obviously not reading all my posts because I've made a few suggestions today and plenty in the past. It's not beach condos in Gaza - nobody with a brain cares about that (because they know it's not happening, for one thing).

Big picture wise - the Ds need to drop the social issue crap and address the real issues facing Americans. The cost of renting/owning. Food prices. HEALTHCARE. The income inequality. The wealthy not carrying their share of the burden. Yada, yada, yada... all the things that made the Democrats great at one time are no longer even on their radar. AOC won't even say the words "medicare for all" anymore. If that's the party's top "progressive" - what you got is another Nancy Pelosi-in-waiting.

Instead of whining about Trump 24/7/365 which is just another way to fish for donations or increase ratings - how about just come out and say "We're going to institute healthcare for everyone" and push that ONE ISSUE as hard as they can? Why people whine about the cost? EXPLAIN IT. When people are afraid to lose their doctors? EXPLAIN IT. Give us ONE ISSUE everyone can get behind and FORGET ABOUT TRUMP. The Ds - thanks to their own ineptitude - DO NOT HAVE THE POWER TO STOP TRUMP.

  21. by HatetheSwamp on February 5, 2025 2:47 pm

"Big picture wise - the Ds need to drop the social issue crap and address the real issues facing Americans. The cost of renting/owning. Food prices. HEALTHCARE. The income inequality."

Bang on. This is Bernie stuff!

I really pi$$€d po off on Facebook by telling the truth that Bernie and Mr Tangerine Man have exactly the same bottom line.

They have radically different ways of getting there.

po went insane when I pointed that out. Really insane!

Trump and the GOPs won because virtually every moderate and independent common sense voter concluded that the Dems don't care about the issues you list. And, Trump convinced them that Dems only care about transing prisoners and illegal aliens... at moderate and independent common sense voters' expense.

And, Dems refused to deny it. Idiotic!

  22. by meagain on February 5, 2025 7:30 pm
"po went insane when I pointed that out. Really insane!"

Insanity is in your making such a ludicrous claim. Inequality took a big jump under Trump 1.

  23. by HatetheSwamp on February 6, 2025 3:02 am

    I'm sure you're right, meagain.

Please splain how Hispanics and blacks voted for Trump in record numbers for a GOP in 024. That part I never got.

  24. by Ponderer on February 6, 2025 7:33 am

"po went insane when I pointed that out. Really insane!" -Hate

Oh yeah? What did I say that was so insane?

So Trump and Bernie agreed on a point. So what? What do you think that proves?

So... just because I agree with Trump on trans athletes, I should therefore place an order with my nearest MAGA Hat dealer or something?

  25. by HatetheSwamp on February 6, 2025 8:07 am

You violated the privacy of my Facebook wall.

  26. by Ponderer on February 6, 2025 10:17 am

By posting on it??? How was what I posted violating your privacy? Your Facebook friends are only allowed to post on your Facebook account as long as they preserve the squeaky clean, Norman Rockwell image that you so carefully cultivate in there?

I'm still not seeing the "insanity" that you accused me of. I mean... I'm not freaking out about anything that you're saying about me on my Facebook page. Even though some of it calls your sanity into question.

My post was completely sane. And all quite true, by the way. I even reposted it here so that others could see how sane and true it was.

  27. by meagain on February 6, 2025 11:32 am
Why did Blacks and Hispanics vote for Trump? That seems to be a very convoluted story. I think, the two most important reasons were.

    1. That they were hoping for something different than they have been experiencing for a long time. Most of it in the last generation under Democratic Presidencies.

    2. I believe that it was the younger voters who did. They have never known anything different and to them, Trump was just a normal politician with an over-the-top way of presenting himself but promising change.

Even so, a considerable majority still voted Democratic.

It all comes down to the stupidity of the average voter who lacks the ability to reason or think critically and doesn't have the information to do that if they did.

  28. by Indy! on February 6, 2025 11:59 am

Can we keep the Facebook crap on Facebook? 🙄
