    Do you support medical care for inmates? How about for inmates who are undocumented immigrants?

    For inmates, absolutely. Everything up to non-elective surgery. Illegal immigrants? At the expense of citizens? I'm iffy on that.

    Interestingly, I just finished a Harry Bosch novel in which one of the characters had been castrated by other inmates in prison... at no charge to the tax payer.

    Even though SRS is considered elective surgery, untreated gender dysphoria can lead to suicide in some cases. I was a basket case. I also had to pay for it 100% out of pocket, which was the norm twenty years ago.

    If standards of care are being adhered to, the patient is required to live f/t as the desired sex for at least one year before SRS. I don't understand how that would be possible in a prison environment unless the patient were in solitary confinement.

    I also lean strongly towards drawing the line at elective surgery, but allowing for exceptions in severe cases. I don't think it should matter whether or not the person is a citizen or an immigrant, documented or undocumented, though.

    The ad is a bunch of chopped up quotes. Typical ham-handed GOP attempt to fool people smarter than they are... of course it will fail. Kamala - otoh - has a devastating ad out there featuring Trump UNedited quotes that make him look exactly like what he is... a flaming orange asshole.
