Saturday morning I went on a bike ride of several miles and one point was huffing and puffing up one of out steep Ashland hills. As I reached the crest, a guy with a Harris/Walz sign and a big American flag in his front yard, yelled to me, "we got to take it back!" I guessed at what he meant and replied, "you got that right!". I welcomed the opportunity to stop pedaling so I took a break and chatted with him.
He said that he was a life-long Republican (he was about 70) but that he was voting for Harris. He also donated to her campaign. He was repulsed by Trump's kowtowing to Putin and other autocrats, Trump's disparagement of the military, Trump's criminality, and his general demeaning of America, his love of tariffs, etc.
He said that the current Republican party is rudderless and not the political party he signed up with. I remarked that it was a good for America to have two strong political parties, but they both have to have principles. We ended the conversation agreeing that this is our best chance to put a stake in the heart of the MAGA movement.

He's making cogent observations about the GOP. Neither party is what it was three elections ago when The ONE faced off against pb GOP Mitt Romney.
Apparently, your geezer GOP is a loyal Bush/Cheyney GOP, maybe Reagan. And, they hate what the party has become,... as more blacks and browns, and white union members take over the party.
I've noted several times before, like Trump or hate him, Trump is a historically important transformational figure.
But, a traditional GOP voting for Kammy? That's a Swamp versus "them" thing.

Kamala and Tim are pro-union, but that's not stopping those Republicans from endorsing her.

Or maybe they hate the other group that actually did take over the GOP...

BTW, if that photo was taken in PA? You can bet the house PB is in there somewhere.
by oldedude on September 10, 2024 7:30 pm indy. again, your LIES and BULLSHIT are too apparent for rational people princess.
This is why you're not trusted on any site or whatever you say, or pretend to "know" about.
by oldedude on September 10, 2024 7:37 pm Curt- I disagree with your "genuine" "republican" who should believe in free enterprise.
government with less "rules" by those without the legal right to make the rules "EPA."
I'm sorry. "he's" a sham. maybe he was a blue collar dim before, but he needs to vote against himself. Again. Free Enterprise is a core issue. kammy will murder it.
