People who say they are voting for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are probably low-information voters.

Restores some of my faith in our justice system.

"The jury in federal court in Washington, D.C., found that Giuliani owes the workers, Wandrea "Shaye" Moss and her mother Ruby Freeman, roughly $73 million to compensate them for the reputational and emotional harm they suffered and $75 million to punish the former Trump lawyer and one-time New York major for his conduct."

He'd probably have trouble coming up with $148 - much less $148 million. This part is interesting...

Joseph Sibley, a lawyer for Giuliani, acknowledged that his client had caused harm, but said the penalty the plaintiffs sought - at least $48 million - would be "catastrophic" for his client. He told the jury Giuliani was a "good man," referencing his role as mayor of New York following the Sept. 11, 2001, Twin Towers attack.

"Rudy Giuliani shouldn't be defined by what's happened in recent times,"
Sibley said during his closing argument.

I'm all for that. Specifically the part he played in the communication systems the FDNY and NYPD were using that could not talk to each other. Allegedly his... ahem... "security company" 🙄 was involved in the deal. There are also the rumors that he sent the clean-up crews in before it was safe - not to dig out victims, but to dig out the vault from Building 7 (if memory serves).

He apparently still has a $6-million condo in NY one block from central park. I'd SURE LOVE to see those two women end up with it.

  3. by Indy! on December 15, 2023 5:48 pm

I would love to be a fly on the wall afterwards when he begs Trump to give him a room to live in live at Mar-A-Lago.

  4. by Ponderer on December 15, 2023 6:16 pm

I agree that's a distinct possibility. Distinctly likely in fact. Unless Trump is serving house arrest there for his upcoming guilty verdicts.

Unfortunately for these women though, they have to get in line behind others who have law suits against him. Including a former attorney of his who he stiffed for over a million bucks. And Dominion is going to nail him for at least nine figures.

You know who I wish could be caught and fined hundreds of millions of dollars though? Who ever it was who initially got hold of those closed circuit videos of the facilities they were working in and made up the original bullshit about them in the first place. You know that asshole had access to those videos, they probably had access to video from all over the complex and could have used anyone for an armature to construct their despicable and sociopathic lies on top of.

They chose those two particular women.

Someone had to give that bullshit to Rudy for him to swallow so gluttonously. And that person must have gotten it from somewhere. And so on and so on. Until you get to that person I am talking about.

A hundred million dollar fine and fifty years in prison.

If Rudy ever has to pay (I doubt it) - maybe it will send a message to some of these people. Again - I doubt it, but you never know. 😕

My favorite Grisham novel is, THE RAINMAKER, in which a kid right out of law school who couldn't get hired by a law firm wins a huuuuuuuuuge judgment against an insurance company which, the next day, declares bankruptcy. And, poof! All that money disappears.

All you TrumpHate sufferers? Hold on to your, as po'd say, EFFINhats. Baha, ha.

You think Trump's going to declare bankruptcy... again, peebs? Cuz that would be funny - a guy headed for jail and totally bankrupt winning the presidency.
