Secondly, the foibles of politicians and other public figures has been the fodder of late night comedians, since they first appeared on television. Even if Jimmy Kimmel had intentionally lied about the amount that the social media platform lost, and it would not be considered defamation because there is a parody exception when comedians and humorists joke about public figures.
