People who say they are voting for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are probably low-information voters.

There are articles on this from lib and conservative media outlets. This NYP piece is as good as any.

This is what pb loves about being a member of the party that is the home of openness and acceptance and inclusion and tolerance, genuine diversity and freethinking. Election denier Hakeem Jeffries was elected Dem leader unanimously by his fellow lockstep marchin fascists. But, among GOPs, there's life and commitment to principle, to ideals. You rock it, GOPs! You are a picture of what life in this constitutional republic has always been intended to be! Good for you!

Here are excerpts:

GOP Insiders and operatives say the California lawmaker’s longtime deputy, incoming House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), could serve as an emergency compromise candidate if the caucus’s paper-thin majority fails to rally around McCarthy during their Jan 3. leadership vote.

“Our relationship is on the ascent,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), a member of the ultraconservative House GOP Freedom Caucus, told The Post of Scalise.

McCarthy can only afford four defections from his own party. As is custom, all of the chamber’s Democrats are expected to oppose him. McCarthy received a boost this week after he received the blessing of former President Trump, who said the longtime GOP leader “deserves the shot.”

"I can’t be for continuing with the status quo,” said Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa,) [and one district over from pb] chairman of the House Freedom Caucus. “One way or the other things are going to change. Either we change the way we do business here, or we’re going to change management. Both could happen.”

That gay Guy Curt's never heard of interviewed McCarthy on his show on Friday. pb thought that McCarthy didn't acquit himself well.
