What is, Curt?
Actually, it's probably not the lawfare itself but the error in judgment in waiting too long to indict. IMO.
Due process and all.
Innocent until proven guilty, eh?
We're not as much a Banana Republic as the string-pullers counted on. We're Stalinesque enuff to run a tightly controlled J6 Committee, but the Federal Judiciary still possesses some integrity.
by oldedude on May 8, 2024 9:07 pm How about fabricating charges? Isn't that supposed to be illegal here?
That isn't the lesson to be learned.
I hate to say it curt, but if you tell us how stupid we are with all of your elitist prigness, you need to expand a line or two to tell us how we are so fucked up. Otherwise, your prigness ends up to be nothing but being a prig.

Lotta folks apparently can't read...
But the new ruling from U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon vacates that date and sets a new slate of pretrial proceedings, the latest of which is a hearing set for July 22.
by oldedude on May 10, 2024 3:02 am Why the judge reset the pretrial hearing was because of the issue with evidence. Prosecution needs to be able to research their own charges when it was found out their evidence collection was faulty. That negates all evidence in the charges (so far). In addition it was found out prosecution was having "issues" with "evidence" that was false. If they can't fix these issues, the judge will declare a mistrial and all the evidence they collected is a null field. That's really bad news for the prosecution because they don't have the availability to affect a new search warrant and "re-search" the premises.
This is nothing more than extremely sloppy evidence collection. I might expect this out of Mayberry PD, but DOJ/FBI on a major case? No. So we're standing by to stand by. If they're ready, that's fine but they have to be done with the evidence collection then give the evidence to defense and the time to go through it to start building the pre-trial motions. I'm not making any bets on any of that on either side. Stranger things have happened.
