If I were a Republican who was subpoenaed, I'd ignore it too, because there would be no consequences.

To tell you the truth, it's a bit embarrassing being a Democrat.

    I don't think the Republicans are ignoring the subpoenas exactly. They are fighting them. They are forcing the Democrats to argue in court the necessity for the subpoenas and why the Republicans need to appear before the committee. This is a transparent attempt by the Republicans to run out the clock.

    Are you two referring to the Jan 6 malarkey?

    Are you suggesting that this is an issue being run by Dems, not the whole House, against GOPs?

    If so, you're being honest to a degree almost never achieved by Blue MAGA progressives.

    You must be getting dizzy from the disorientation.

    The convicted insurrectionists have had contact and connections to only one of the major political parties: Republicans. The only members of Congress who have openly supported the insurrectionists were Republicans. The only political party that is attempting to downplay the January Insurrection are Republicans. The only members of Congress with a potential criminal culpability are Republicans. The potential defendants who hold elected or appointed office are only Republicans.

    The potential defendants---Jim Jordan, et al---are the last people who should be on the committee investigating themselves and passing judgement on themselves.

    So, you are admitting that this Jan 6 thing is a partisan effort by Dems operating in their own interest, not the people's.

    It's obvious, anyway, from Pelosi's unwillingness to permit the GOPs to appoint their own members to the Jan 6th Committee. I'm surprised. Shocked even that you're, apparently, fair-minded enough to acknowledge that.
