Manchin poured cold water on passing the bill anytime soon, saying much of the bill needed to be "scrubbed" so it complies with Senate rules and large parts were still being negotiated.

I remember the day when Bubba Clinton called Dems to the White House to read them the riot act about passing his tax bill. It passed.

And, oh, those glory days when Barack (The ONE) Obama engineered the passage of the OCare bill. It also pa ssed.

Now, "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" sits behind the desk in the Oval Office?

As Edwin Hawkins sang, "Absolutely nuthin, say it again, y'all!"

What a flatulent fool!!!!!

    Joe "yacht club" Manchin is a US Senator representing one of the most poverty-stricken states in the country. Obviously A LOT more can be done to help his own constituents.

    You are correct about poverty in W Virginia. Clearly, though, Manchin, and the large majorities that reelect him, have no confidence in progressive, Big Brother solutions.

    It's long been known that the people on the very low rungs of the economic ladder will vote against their own self-interests if they think that those on the even lower rungs might somehow benefit too.
