"According to the CDC, the person was fully vaccinated and has had mild symptoms. All the patientís close contacts have tested negative so far."

Based on my experience, being vaxxed doesn't go far in preventing infection.

    HtS,
The purpose of a vaccine isn't so much to prevent infection but to help a person's immune system develop protection from a particular disease. In the bigger picture, when a sufficiently large percentage of a population has been vaccinated, herd immunity results.

The unvaccinated are like agar in petri dish. They become the perfect medium for incubating and spreading the virus that the vaccine was designed to combat.

Sheeeeeeeeeesh, Curt, I guess only I remember, last May, the flatulent fool declaring victory over COVID to be at hand...as we approach 70% vaccination.

    HtS,
Biden figured, as did many others, that when a vaccine became available, people wouldn't hesitate to be vaccinated. When we were kids we all got our polio vaccination in the school gym or cafeteria without politicians and pundits convincing people that vaccines were an assault on our freedom.

What about all the times Trump claimed with no evidence that Covid would disappear before there was a vaccine available?

You know, a lot of people think that goes away in April with the heat ó as the heat comes in. Typically, that will go away in April.
    --Trump, February, 10 2020
You know, a lot of people think that goes away in April with the heat ó as the heat comes in. Typically, that will go away in April.
    --Trump, February 10, 2020
China is working very, very hard. I have spoken to President Xi, and theyíre working very hard. And if you know anything about him, I think heíll be in pretty good shape. Theyíre ó theyíve had a rough patch, and I think right now they have it ó it looks like theyíre getting it under control more and more. Theyíre getting it more and more under control. So I think thatís a problem thatís going to go away.
    --Trump, February 25, 2020
Öwhen you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, thatís a pretty good job weíve done.
    --Trump, February 26, 2020
Itís going to disappear. One day ó itís like a miracle ó it will disappear. And from our shores, we ó you know, it could get worse before it gets better. It could maybe go away. Weíll see what happens. Nobody really knows.
    --Trump, February 27, 2020
I donít think people are panicking. I said last night ó we did an interview on Fox last night, a town hall. I think it was very good. And I said, ĎCalm. You have to be calm.í Itíll go away.
    --Trump, March 6, 2020
Weíre prepared, and weíre doing a great job with it. And it will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away.
    --Trump, March 10, 2020
You know, we need a little a separation until such time as this goes away. Itís going to go away. Itís going to go away.
    --Trump, March 12, 2020
Stay calm. It will go away. You know it ó you know it is going away, and it will go away. And weíre going to have a great victory.
    --Trump, March 30, 2020
Itís going to go away, hopefully at the end of the month. And, if not, hopefully it will be soon after that.
    --Trump, March 31, 2020
It is going to go away. It is going away.
    --Trump, April 3, 2020
It did go ó it will go away.
    --Trump, April 7, 2020
But a lot of movement and a lot of progress has been made in a vaccine. But I think what happens is itís going to go away. This is going to go away. And whether it comes back in a modified form in the fall, weíll be able to handle it.
    --Trump, April 28, 2020
Itís going to go. Itís going to leave. Itís going to be gone. Itís going to be eradicated. And it might take longer. It might be in smaller sections. Itíll be ó it wonít be what we had. And we also learned a lot.
    --Trump, April 29, 2020
And I think weíre doing very well on the vaccines but, with or without a vaccine, itís going to pass, and weíre going to be back to normal.
    --Trump, May 5, 2020
Because, you know, this virus is going to disappear. Itís a question of when. Will it come back in a small way? Will it come back in a fairly large way? But we know how to deal with it now much better. You know, nobody knew anything about it, initially. Now we know we can put out fires.
    --Trump, May 6, 2020
Well, I feel about vaccines like I feel about tests. This is going to go away without a vaccine. Itís going to go away, and itís ó weíre not going to see it again, hopefully, after a period of time. You may have some ó some flare-ups and I guess, you know, I would expect that. Sometime in the fall, youíll have flare-ups maybe. Maybe not. But according to what a lot of people say, you probably will. Weíll be able to put them out. You may have some flare-ups next year, but eventually, itís going to be gone. I mean, itís going to be gone.
    --Trump, May 8, 2020
We think weíre going to have a vaccine in the pretty near future. And if we do, weíre going to really be a big step ahead. And if we donít, weíre going to be like so many other cases, where you had a problem come in, itíll go away ó at some point, itíll go away. It may flare up, and it may not flare up. Weíll have to see what happens.
    --Trump, May 15, 2020
So I think thatís ó but even without that [a vaccine or therapeutics], you know, at some point this stuff goes away and itís going away.
    --Trump, June 15, 2020
I always say, even without it [a vaccine], it goes away.
    --Trump, June 16, 2020
Öif you look, the numbers are very minuscule compared to what it was. Itís dying out.
    --Trump, June 17, 2020
But I will tell you, weíre very close to a vaccine, and weíre very close to therapeutics, really good therapeutics. And ó but even without that ó I donít even like to talk about that, because itís fading away. Itís going to fade away.
    --Trump, June 17, 2020
And it is dying out. The numbers are starting to get very good.
    --Trump, June 18, 2020
And I think we are going to be very good with the coronavirus. I think that, at some point, thatís going to sort of just disappear, I hope.
    --Trump, July 1, 2020
Iíll be right eventually. I will be right eventually. You know I said, ĎItís going to disappear.í Iíll say it again. Itís going to disappear, and Iíll be right.
    --Trump, July 19, 2020
Well, the virus will disappear. It will disappear.
    --Trump, July 21, 2020
Weíre gonna beat it, yeah. Weíre going to beat it. And with time, youíre going to be it ó time. You know, I say, itís going to disappear. And they say, ĎOh, thatís terrible.í He said ó well, itís true. I mean, itís going to disappear. Before it disappears, I think we can knock it out before it disappears.
    --Trump, July 22, 2020
This thingís going away. It will go away like things go awayÖ
    --Trump, August 5, 2020
Itís going away. No, itíll go away like things go away. Absolutely. No question in my mind. It will go away. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
    --Trump, August 5, 2020
And weíre getting them [manufacturing jobs] even in a pandemic ó which is disappearing; itís going to disappear.
    --Trump, August 7, 2020
And frankly, you know, weíve had a tremendous ó a tremendous market, you and I have talked about that, the stock market. Think of it, weíre almost back to where we were, and weíre still in the pandemic, which will be going away, as I say, itíll be going away. And they scream, how you can you say that? I said, because itís gonna be going away.
    --Trump, August 13, 2020
ÖAnd the China Plague will fade.
    --Trump, August 17, 2020
And as soon as the plague is gone ó we have vaccines coming, we have therapeutics coming, and itís going to be gone. And itís gonna be gone soon.
    --Trump, August 17, 2020
Itís all coming back so fast and youíll see it, and the pandemic goes away. The vaccines are going to be, I believe, announced very soon.
    --Trump, August 24, 2020
Well, once you get to a certain number ó you know, we use the word herd, right. Once you get to a certain number, itís going to go away.
    --Trump, August 31, 2020
It is gonna disappear. Itís gonna disappear. I still say it.
    --Trump, September 15, 2020
But itís going to disappear. It is disappearing. And vaccines are going to help, and the therapeutics are going to help a lot.
    --Trump, October 10, 2020
The vaccine will end the pandemic. But itís ending anyway. I mean, they go crazy when I say it. Itís going to peter out and itís going to end. But weíre going to help the end and weíre gonna make it a lot faster with the vaccine and with the therapeutics and frankly with the cures.
    --Trump, October 15, 2020
Even without the vaccine, the pandemicís going to end. Itís gonna run its course. Itís gonna end. Theyíll go crazy. He said Ďwithout the vaccineí ó watch, itíll be a headline tomorrow. These people are crazy. No, itís running its course.

What's the deal with Republicans and mendacity?

Trump's a habitual liar just like every Trump voter who has posted on this forum.

Btw, that's quite a compilation, Curt!

What you need to understand is that Trump Obsession Syndrome is the Delta Variant of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

And, there no vax. And, masks don't help.
