The strikes are planned to last for several days, and their purpose is to eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat that the President of Peace already eliminated, bigly, several months ago.

Americans’ sympathies in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict have shifted dramatically, new poll shows

WASHINGTON (AP) — American sympathies in the Middle East have shifted dramatically toward the Palestinians, according to new Gallup polling, after decades of overwhelming support for the Israelis.

That shift accelerated during the war in Gaza. Three years ago, 54% of Americans sympathized more with the Israelis, compared with 31% for the Palestinians.

Now, their support is about evenly balanced, with 41% saying their sympathies lie more with the Palestinians, and only 36% saying the same about the Israelis.

While you're justifying your bigotry, could you link us to stats on Americans' increasing support for Iran. Thanking you in advance...

    1. Could you link to where I said anything about Americans support for Iran? Thanks in advance.

    2. And as always, you're welcome to post a link showing where anyone on this board hates Jews. You won't, because no one does, but you're WELCOME to. Thanks in advance.

  5. by HatetheSwamp on February 28, 2026 4:21 am

    Navy,

Not even po is hatederanged to the degree as to say, "I hate the Jews," but on 10/7, Donna claimed that the genuine atrocity was that Israel temporarily shut off the fresh water supply to Gaza... and po was on board!!!!!

    That's JewHate!

  6. by Navy2711 on February 28, 2026 4:31 am

Like I said, you won't post a link. And if you did, we'd see that you've taken it out of context.

So how's your President of Peace doing? 🤪 What do you think ... boots on the ground soon? Ahh, who cares. What's important is that 1. We're brutally arresting brown-skinned people, and 2. Everyone is using the right bathroom according to what's between their legs. Let's keep our priorities straight, right Idiot?

    I don't hate Jews, I hate Israel.

Ezekiel 22:27 Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain. 28 Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says’—when the Lord has not spoken. 29 The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the foreigner, denying them justice.

Epstein was an Israeli agent who was using girls as bait to extort powerful people including our government officials. Now what is this war with Iran for, other than to support Israel's crimes of genocide, sex trafficking and extortion?

  11. by Ponderer on February 28, 2026 6:52 am

No one wants this. This is entirely demented behavior, and it's not even going to get anyone to forget about the Epstein Files.

I have seen one speculative analysis that poses the idea that this action is to enable him to call a National Emergency and shut down the mid-term elections. I think stretching it a bit, by possible.

Meantime. they pile up the war crimes. The assassinations of leaders are war crimes according to the Geneva Convention. The attack on a girl's primary school killed 53 mostly children nd wounded 86 others. Other assaults have been on civilians. Those are crimes against humanity.

The whole affair is a war crime, in fact. Iran is a sovereiggn nation and it is their own affair, not Trump's, what system they use.

  18. by Ponderer on February 28, 2026 3:05 pm

I have to admit... and old dude will probably like this idea... The possibility cannot be overlooked that Islamic extremists within Iran who would have no love for a girl's school could have blown it up. It'd be a two-fer. Make girls think twice about going to school, and make America look like demonic assholes.

  19. by Ponderer on February 28, 2026 3:06 pm

That said, I think it's most likely that Trump is responsible for all those girls' deaths. Among hundreds of others by now.

  20. by Donna on February 28, 2026 3:12 pm

I think it's a good possibility that the Iran gov bombed that girls school.

meagain - I see that you left Facebook.

  21. by meagain on February 28, 2026 7:01 pm
I have not lest Facebook. Why did you think so, Donna. I limit where I post since I am there only to attack extremists and climate deniers.

There is no way the government of Iran bombed that girl's school. There would be hundreds of witnesses. I see the Ayatollah is also C n C of the armed forces so it is not a war crime to take him out. However, his wife and granddaughter were also killed and that is.

The real issue, though, is that this is inevitably going to be a regional war that will almost certainly bring NATO in. That opens up possibilities for Russia and China and could bring WWIII.

That is not a fantasy. It is a real possibility.

    Trump is truly insane.

  28. by Navy2711 on March 1, 2026 6:13 am

For clarity, I just wanted to go on record to state that I support preventing Iran from getting nuclear weapons.

    - Nuclear deterrence only works when the actors are rational and predictable.

    - The cost of any non-test nuclear detonation anywhere on the planet - the collapse of nuclear norms, the regional arms race, the long term global economic drag - is simply too high.

    - Therefore, the lives of a some high level Iranian officials is a worthwhile cost to pay

    - ... SECONDARY to what we should ACTUALLY be doing, which is global nuclear disarmament, down to each nuclear country have a just a handful. Which simply isn't going to happen.

Of course, all of that is contingent on how close Iran was to getting the bomb, and we can't trust this admistration - ANY administration, but this one in particular - to be honest about that. So whether or not THIS particular attack, at this particular time, was justified remains to be seen, and probably will be for years or decades.

The counter-argument - "Other shifty regimes, like North Korea and Maoist China have had nuclear weapons and they didn't use them" - isn't an argument, in my eyes, at all. I agree with that, but instead of "Let's let everyone have nukes because we can trust them" I take the stance of, "We missed our chance to deal with those regimes when we had it."

I say again: In today's nuclear climate, ONE nuclear detonation that is not explicitly a test will rock the world's markets, bigly. The economic upheaval will result in deaths (indirect deaths due to supply chain disruption) far more numerous than those that will die in this current conflict.

I just started this thread to laugh at the President of Peace and the stupid people who voted for him because they believed his promises. 😘

  29. by HatetheSwamp on March 1, 2026 6:51 am

"I just started this thread to laugh at the President of Peace and the stupid people who voted for him because they believed his promises."

As you know, pb voted for JD. But, c'mon. Gimme a break, man! What yinz should be hating is that Trump is keeping his promises.

  30. by Navy2711 on March 1, 2026 7:12 am

"What yinz should be hating is that Trump is keeping his promises."

Well, we can't tell what is a promise and what is just riffing, until idiots like you tell us, retroactively, whether we should have taken him literally or seriously.

    Right, Idiot? 😃

Hey, tell us: Should we be taking, "I'll end the Ukraine-Russia war on Day One" literally or seriously at this point? lololol

Hey, I understand. Between sh*tting his pants about the Epstein files, deporting American citizens, and golf days, he's been soooo busy. I'm sure he'll get around to it.

    _______________________

If this conflict in Iran stops relatively soon, and Iran experiences a liberal cultural shift and has their nuclear capabilities neutralized, then it's a good thing. Not the BEST option, but a good thing overall. If it drags out and/or escalates, and Iran winds up a pissed off nuclear hornets nest, it's a bad thing. Either way, you'll praise it, whenever you can come up off of Trump's nuts long enough to take a breath.

  31. by meagain on March 1, 2026 7:15 am
Nobody thinks Iran should have nuclear weapons, but that is not at issue. There is no more legal justification for America to attack it than there was for Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Had it first been sanctioned by the UN Security Council, that would have been different.

Personally, I would be more concerned with North Korea's possession than Iran, but there was no attack on that country. Iran under that Ayatollahs was only ever a real threat to its own people. Israel's aggression against and annexation of areas of the West Bank, of East Jerusalem, and its oppression of Gaza, are the cause of the Mid-East tensions.

  32. by Donna on March 1, 2026 7:44 am

Jeffrey Epstein is said to have worked for Israeli Intelligence. I'm surprised that I'm not hearing more speculation that Netanyahu blackmailed trump into carrying out a regime change war on Iran.

  33. by oldedude on March 1, 2026 9:10 am
RE #4 poser- 1. Could you link to where I said anything about Americans support for Iran? Thanks in advance.

Everyone but the extremely low information voter, or those too stupid to learn anything about global politics understands Iran is the direct supply chain and supporter to Hamas. If you read anything during the war, that's why the Israelis and US struck Iran. And why Iran struck back directly. I'm just sorry you missed out on that.

Hamas, the perpetrators of the brutal attack on Israel that has initiated the war in Gaza. post 10/7. In that time, po and donna, (wrongagain, and pretty much everyone but curt, Lead, and myself) were extremely supportive of the "Palestinians" (read Hamas because that's who were the recipients of the support). I do understand that many were unaware of the strength their support went to Hamas and the acts on 10/7 that was used on the geopolitical landscape. So there's that. And again, when Israelis backed off, Hamas went through the streets and murdered people that had demonstrated against Hamas and are/were pro-democracy.

I find it amazing that you would believe the Iranian regime carte blanche. I didn't think you were that simple. Well, maybe...

  35. by Indy! on March 1, 2026 9:58 am
    Post 28 from Navy...

    - ... SECONDARY to what we should ACTUALLY be doing, which is global nuclear disarmament, down to each nuclear country have a just a handful. Which simply isn't going to happen.

So Indy has been pushing this same proposition before the internet was put into practical use by most Americans. I've said it MANY times on this board and others. And what happens every time (and I am almost POSITIVE it happened with Navy as well)? "Oh no, Indy - we could never get rid of our nukes!" Except we could. And it would be quite easy - I've spelled that out many times as well - so many I will no bother doing it again - because everybody will come around to that one too... eventually.

    More from the same post...

The counter-argument - "Other shifty regimes, like North Korea and Maoist China have had nuclear weapons and they didn't use them" - isn't an argument, in my eyes, at all. I agree with that, but instead of "Let's let everyone have nukes because we can trust them"

Actually it is an argument and a quite compelling one. For one thing there is the MAD angle which is probably the one worldwide agreement between nations (whether written or unwritten) that has worked to perfection from day 1. Secondly there is the "shifty" part which is not very descriptive code for dictators. What is the #1 priority for dictators? To stay alive. Using nukes would guarantee their death - so they won't. And history (again) proves that.

Sometimes it's not that complicated - especially when you address the actual problem straight on instead of taking the capitalism route around it.

    ====================================

Oh - and congratulations to OD for finally figuring out Iran supports Hamas. 👍

  36. by oldedude on March 1, 2026 10:13 am
Actually, asshole, while you were in the fetal position under your "uncle's" dress and adamantly supporting Hamas and never condemned the actions on 10/7, I had it figured out early in the 1980's. Obviously, you and a couple of the other libs have figured it out, but not all of them.

  37. by HatetheSwamp on March 1, 2026 10:57 am

"Jeffrey Epstein is said to have worked for Israeli Intelligence."

It's the "is said" part that gets you in trouble. I'm guessing it's a JewHate thing.

  38. by Navy2711 on March 1, 2026 11:26 am

RE:#33 Shell Shocked and Under-medicated Old Man:

Going by your "logic," 54% of Americans now support Hamas.

So it's your choice: You can stick with that and say that Americs supports Hamas, or you can give up your hateful, bigoted fantasy that "the Palestinians" is synonymous with "Hamas."

You decide, but you can only pick one. You can't have both, and then cherry-pick depending on the situation.

  40. by oldedude on March 1, 2026 12:35 pm
    those were absolutely inane.

I WILL SAY the whiny "demonstrations" for "palestine" in Europe and the US (predominately) mixed the issue between Palestinians and Hamas, which is what I said earlier. You might want to read that again, because I think understanding that was too far over your head. And I think if asked if they support "Hamas" per se, it would be a lower percentage. AND understand that actively demonstrating against Israel IS actively supporting Hamas. That's how the geopolitical world looks at it. Especially Hamas and the rest of the Jihadist world.

What most people understand (especially on this site) is that the party in power in Palestine IS HAMAS. You can tell me whatever you want, and that doesn't change the issue. Are they afraid "not" to support them? Be a guess for a lot of the Palestinians. Would you turn in your neighbor to save your family? I think folks would/ do.

AND neither pedojoe or trumpster chose to help the Palestinian people during the demonstrations when they had the chance.

I also have to scoff at your "reasoning" of the AO.

  41. by Indy! on March 1, 2026 12:37 pm

BTW, I've also been saying Epstein was most likely working for the FBI and/or Mossad ever since his name first popped up in the news.

Odorous had Hamas figured out in the early 80s - even though Hamas was established in the late 1980s - December 10, 1987 to be exact. Maybe it is better that you google everything first, Odie. 😂

  42. by oldedude on March 1, 2026 12:39 pm
Also, this gave me a chuckle. American sympathies in the Middle East have shifted dramatically toward the Palestinians, according to new Gallup polling, after decades of overwhelming support for the Israelis.

"Americans" would indicate the people, not the government.

  43. by Indy! on March 1, 2026 12:44 pm

Why should they not have given support to Hamas. Hamas is the only armed resistance to Israeli oppression and killings. The other Arab state have abandoned Palestine, and the world has watched with indifference.

Unfortunately for you, when the Isrealis withdrew from the Sinai in 1967 is when Hamas started getting organized. No one really paid too much attention for those 20 years. But in about 1975-1980, they were getting organized. That's when the IC was starting to notice. So you actually had to look that up. I was watching it happened obviously a several decades before you knew they existed.

    OD,

    1. "... which is what I said earlier."

*shrug* You should have stuck to that, then. Your mistake.

    2. "The government "might" have shifted? 'Americans' would indicate the people, not the government."

Lol, that's exactly right, OD. Now you're catching on. "Americans" DOES indicate the people, and no one said otherwise. You can double-check that I didn't say otherwise by scrolling up. And you can double-check that the poll didn't say otherwise by reading it, probably for the first time, here:

    https://apnews.com/article/poll-gallup-americans-israel-palestinians-democrats-republicans-2614e22b0ddabe514424680b71e1802f

... where it CLEARLY says, "Percent of U.S. adults".

    3. Jfc, talking to you is like talking to a random word generator. You are incapable of following a thread, plain and simple. You can't follow what others said. You can't follow what YOU said. And you surely can't follow the dynamics between the two. And yet, somehow, you still manage to navigate your way to the wrong side of nearly every issue.

But, like HtS, you're one of only two (barely) functional conservatives on this site. This place would die without you two, so keep doing what you do best - raging at the world and splattering the board with gobbledy-gook.

Nope - there's no coming back from that one, Odorous. Should have googled it before you started typing with your butt cheeks again. And even your latest lie blows your cover. First you said you had it figured out in the "early 1980s" - but now you're claiming...

"...1967 is when Hamas started getting organized."

And only one sentence later you change it to...

"But in about 1975-1980, they were getting organized."

That's a decade later and neither one of those timelines qualifies as the "early 1980s". You're an even worse liar once you get busted. Here's an idea - take a day or two, get a new story together - lock down all the dates, have mommy double check them - and THEN get back to me. 😂

    Curt,

Someone on Fox News, bahahahahahahaha, opined, over the weekend, that the two most effective militaries in the world have the Iranian regime, not all of Iran, in their cross hairs. This is, obviously, an operation that has been carefully planned for a looooooooong time. It's being executed efficiently, as far as I can tell.

You are offering us what po'd call an inequitable comparison. From what I can see, Iran's actions are increasing international support for what Bibi and his sidekick, Orangeman, bahaha ha haha ha ha haha ha, are doing, but I'm not into your Holy Trinity.

They were in Iranian waters, Why?

Don't get out much, do you? The Gulf of Oman is shared between Iran and Oman (go figgur). The US (mainly)are there out of the behest of mostly the local nations that want to protect the flow of oil from the Arabian gulf to the Indian Ocean.

I do have an honest question for you. Is it that you hate the US so much? Or do you love terrorists that much? or is it both? It's really hard to imagine some one so full of hatred. Have you had your cortisol levels checked?

  56. by Indy! on March 2, 2026 12:22 pm

Soooooooo... yet another war for oil. Never let it be said the only reason we waste so much money on the military is to protect the assets of the oligarchs. 🙄

"Remember what I said about Trump kicking over a hornets' nest." -Curt

A lot of us were right there saying as much too, Curt.

  58. by Indy! on March 3, 2026 7:15 pm

Everybody on the left said some variation of that. Who thought Trump would be THAT dumb unless - of course - he was blackmailed by Netanyahoo.

  59. by oldedude on March 3, 2026 8:52 pm
For those too stupid to actually understand the geoglobal political threats... you know, the one's that think tiny tim is actually true (tip toe through the tulips! tip toe through me!? there is actually a real world out there, and you're just too fucking stupid to see it. I'm not going to harp on this. I will just let you die. Why? because you are not worth dying for. You have lived so that other people will sacrifice themselves. Do I get a big HELL YEAH! HELL YEAH! In the new testament, Christ talks about those that are too sinful to save. Most of the folks here are right there. Why should I even try for you?????

  60. by HatetheSwamp on March 4, 2026 3:40 am

    OD,

Stunning ain't?, our wokes and progressives are suddenly placing trust in Iran's wacked out Muslim fundamentalist "hornets' nest."

Just goes to show how deranged their TrumpHate is.

For Donna and po, of course, it's also fueled by JewHate. What a deadly combination: JewHate and TrumpHate at play in the same moment. Our wokes must be dizzy!

  61. by Ponderer on March 4, 2026 5:06 am

And yet, we aren't the ones wiping our asses with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Like pedophile's bitch constantly is.

How is it, pedophile's bitch, that you feel so confident in slapping Christ across His face regarding what He told you to do regarding the least of his? And how is it that you can feel so comfortable supporting, defending, excusing, and championing a leader who wipes this country's ass with the teachings of Jesus?

"In the new testament, Christ talks about those that are too sinful to save. Most of the folks here are right there. Why should I even try for you?????" -olde dude

Uh huh. Well, we aren't the ones you should be worrying about, od...

"And yet, we aren't the ones wiping our asses with the teachings of Jesus Christ."

And, po is in self-denial about being a woke Christian. It'd be laughable were it not tragic.

  63. by Ponderer on March 4, 2026 6:50 am

I'm not a Christian, pedophile's bitch. I've stated that quite definitively. I may not behave like a Christian, but I am not a Christian. So, the teachings associated with being one are not incumbent upon me to follow.

You do claim to be a Christian. So the teachings associated with being one are incumbent upon you to follow.

And you do not follow them. You wipe your ass with them. Definitively.

  64. by oldedude on March 4, 2026 9:19 am
Obviously, you've lost in the primary teaching in Christianity. "HUMANS ARE IMPERFECT."

  65. by Indy! on March 4, 2026 9:28 am

This is what happens when you stray from true Christianity. "Hey - belief? Whatever - we're human. Let's bomb the fuck out of Iran."

  66. by meagain on March 4, 2026 12:40 pm
Tiny Tim is true, oddly. He is a composite based on Dicken's disabled nephew and the son of a friend. Used to highlight the failings of Victorian society.

  67. by HatetheSwamp on March 4, 2026 12:54 pm

    This is odd, po.

You consistently... often multiple times in the same day... cite the teachings of Jesus and claim that they are true and wise and good. You initiate dialog about what makes a person truly a Christian. You argue vehemently and regularly that a genuine Christian believes what you believe.

You can pretend that you ain't a woke Christian, but, buddy, evidence demonstrates that, by any meaningful definition, a woke Christian is exactly what you are.

"You consistently... often multiple times in the same day... cite the teachings of Jesus and claim that they are true and wise and good. You initiate dialog about what makes a person truly a Christian. You argue vehemently and regularly that a genuine Christian believes what you believe." - Idiot

And yet none of that is what ACTUALLY makes a person a Christian. Our resident supposed Christian has no idea what a Christian is. Shocker.

    (Indy:)
Odorous had Hamas figured out in the early 80s - even though Hamas was established in the late 1980s - December 10, 1987 to be exact. Maybe it is better that you google everything first, Odie.

    (Odorous:)

You're STILL trying to make a comeback from that one? Just take the loss and learn something from it, Señorita... It's better to be like me and LOOK something up than to be like you and MAKE something up. 😆

"You argue vehemently and regularly that a genuine Christian believes what you believe." -pedophile's bitch

You are always... always so incredibly wrong!

I have never argued vehemently or in any way otherwise that a genuine Christian believes what I believe.

I have however argued rather vehemently, and quite regularly, that a genuine Christian does not believe what you to all appearances believe, and that a genuine Christian would not behave the way you do.

It's understandable that you would reflexively want to obfuscate this point I've been making all this time.

  71. by HatetheSwamp on March 5, 2026 5:54 am

    po,

You've said straight out that Christians must be woke. Don't lie, even to yourself.

  72. by Ponderer on March 5, 2026 5:59 am

Navy, I think that our resident Christian, pedophile's bitch is the type of Christian that believes that all he has to do is accept Jesus Christ into his heart as his Lord and Savior... and that's the end of it.

By accepting Jesus as having died for his sins, all his sins are forgiven, even the ones he still intends to commit in the future.

He's got a free pass! He can wipe his ass with all that falderal Jesus blathered on about the least of His and helping the poor and caring for their fellow human beings. That's all just the packaging that pedophile's bitch's Christianity came in. Off to the recycle bin with it!

It's not the important part: That all his sins are forgiven because he accepted Jesus into his heart as his Lord and Savior.

All the rest of that New Testament nonsense about caring and empathy for others than themselves can be cavalierly disregarded. It's just background noise that preachers use to fill sermons with.

I can't be very far off here. Given what we have seen from him for many years now.

  73. by Ponderer on March 5, 2026 9:17 am

"You've said straight out that Christians must be woke." -pedophile's bitch

Quit lying to yourself about me, pedophile's bitch. Just because your favorite philosopher of all time (Donald J. Trump) says that whatever you want to believe is the truth, that doesn't make it so.
