FBI formally refuses to share evidence in Alex Pretti killing, Minnesota investigators say

Minnesota's top investigative agency said Monday the federal government has formally refused to hand over evidence and information in the killing of Alex Pretti.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said the FBI's refusal to cooperate is "concerning and unprecedented."

The FBI has also withheld evidence in the federal killing of Renee Good and the shooting of a Venezuelan national last month. The BCA said it has reiterated requests for evidence and information in all three shootings.

"Our agency has committed to the FBI and Department of Justice that should its stance change we remain willing to share information that we have obtained with that agency and would welcome a joint investigation," BCA Superintendent Drew Evans said. "We will continue to pursue all legal avenues to gain access to relevant information and evidence."

Federal agents shot and killed Pretti in south Minneapolis on Jan. 24. Federal investigators physically prevented BCA agents from gathering evidence at the scene, and the BCA successfully requested a restraining order to prevent the Department of Homeland Security from destroying or altering evidence. Days later, though, a federal judge lifted the order, saying the concerns over evidence tampering were undeveloped.

On Sunday, Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty told WCCO she plans to send a written demand for evidence in Pretti's killing to the U.S. departments of Justice and Homeland Security. She previously sent a similar letter in regards to Good's killing, and is investigating the shooting of the Venezuelan national as well.

Earlier this month, Pretti's family called for the FBI and BCA to investigate his killing jointly.

"Justice and accountability requires a thorough and impartial investigation to establish the facts. A truly joint state and federal investigation would be a welcome development," the family said in a statement.

A report released by the Democratic members of the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform earlier this month accused the Trump administration of lying to "cover up misconduct" in the killings of Good and Pretti.

As far as the thread. DOJ/FBI have standards for evidence, which the LEAs "should" also do. If those are not maintained, DOJ has no "requirement" to release their evidence and taint the trial evidence. It's rare, and it happens, mostly where there are leaks to the news, where the local agency can't be trusted, or where their evidence isn't secured properly.

FBI usually won't tell the world so they won't belittle the agency that doesn't hold evidence properly. That might bring into question all the cases the LEA has prosecuted and won.

Given that Biden withdrew from the race on July 21, 2024. That was 107 days before the election.

So, pedophile's bitch, who is so assured that such a thing could be accomplished, is now going to explain for us all how Democratic candidates who would on-the-spot want to run in this sudden, drop of a hat primary are going to file all the papers in all fifty states, get all their petitions signed, launch a campaign, and travel around the country to speak, while every state government has to print up tens of millions of new ballots and reinstitute all the logistical and personnel requirements to have all the states finish the process and have a new candidate chosen for the Democratic presidential candidate... in three months and change.

(Look, I know we've all seen a myriad of examples of how gigantic and complicated logistics and organizing are mere child's play for the MAGA Hat party, so such an undertaking would be a walk in the park for them I'm sure. But for the rest of humanity, such a miracle would be a physical impossibility. And pedophile's bitch absolutely knows this.)

(I'm agreeing with you about the timing and kammie). And, after the obvious candidates went to Germany for the Security Summit and couldn't answer any questions about security, who do they have still? And even the reasonable dems are looking at a huge loss in 28 because there are no cohesive ideas in the party other than trumpster bad, mmmmmmkay. The question is, what are you/they going to do when he's gone?

They all sounded like concha (the hairless clam) regarding global security, which is really pitiful. It's still supporting any terrorist group in the world and is still supporting boka Haram in Afghanistan and the slavery rules.

It isn't a dig regarding the dims, it's just fact. They didn't put their best foot forward where it could have been a huge win. A little prep about the subject matter would have been awesome.

And I'm disagreeing with you that the DNC planned whatever you meant by "that", that anyone "bribed" Biden to drop out, that Biden was used to taking bribes, or that Kamala wasn't a good candidate. Because all that is totally baseless, pro-Trump, bullshit propaganda. (I do like how you apparently thought that saying that you agree with me on one point would make me disregard all the other baseless malarkey that you said there.)

Look at the timeline. pedojoe did not want to go. Period. End of story. He got that from obomber and most of the other DNC hierarchy. He waited long enough no one else could get in. It was too late for anyone to have primaries (as you said) which is one issue and against the DNC rules. And I also agree there was no time to do that. And that's on joe. There is still no heir apparent in the dummycrats. Still. That's a scary thought because there's not even a platform to inform voters what they're voting for. And planks for the candidates use for talking points. I know that you honestly, in your heart, don't believe that anyone on the left would do anything illegal, cheat, lie or steal. I have to marvel at that type of thinking. It absolutely amazes me.
