    Are you joining in with Curt and also imagining there actually was a time and place where I supported socialism as the way to run our government? Or any government for that matter? Because - again - like the "Indy lies" and "Indy supports Hamas" and "Indy hates Jews" neither you or Curt will be able to find a single example where I supported socialism as the way to go when it comes to governing.

    But if you want an actual example where socialism has worked perfectly and destroyed all comers trying to overtake it? Look no further than the NFL. That is a fine example of socialism done correctly (no matter how hard Roger Goodell tries to destroy it).

    Inside every conservative critic of socialism is a shocked facial expression, just waiting to burst forth. It's the expression they'll make when their police department and utilities, like water, get privatized and doled out by a CEO, their social security gets cut, their VA benefits get cut, they experience a natural disaster and there's no federal money to help out. It's kinda like this emoji 😲 but far less subtle and nuanced.

    Good post lead. It's funny that these two were personally "offended" by what you said. And Indy isn't a "socialist" or "communist." It's a anarchist. Prefers to have no government to get in it's way. Constantly degrades everyone. Cops, military, the Constitution, Israel (ergo is supporting the terrorists), and never has a thought to maybe "fix" a problem. Just bleats about what he "reads" or hears on it's tiktock account.

    Navy- Our Constitution separates the power of government. It sets up the opportunity for the citizens to work as they want, instead of having the government tell them what jobs they are able to get. I've said this before (many times), what Americans "think" are socialist systems aren't. Simple as that. It's a means of production issue. Norway, Sweden, all have privately owned companies. Ergo, they aren't Socialist. It's called a social welfare economy.

    If that were the case, then we wouldn't even be discussing "socialism".

    No one's talking about state-owned factories and farms. No one's talking about a planned economy. No one's talking about state-controlled unions. No one wants a one-party state.

    What we ARE talking about is more like Norway. Universal healthcare. MARKET-based, capitalistic economy, but with strong regulation and safety nets. Strong unions. A multi-party democracy.

    That second one ... that Norway-like society ... that's what everyone nowadays, including CONSERVATIVES, calls "socialism". Turn on Fox news, you'll see. It's simply not debatable that "socialism" has two definitions. A hard definition, defined by Marx. And a soft-definition, which Norway is an example of.

    Navy is dead on. However, I wonder if Socialism, or what conservatives think socialism is, would be as bad as Capitalism. Capitalism always, and inevitably, leads to oligarchy and tyranny. Capitalism always leads to wage slavery and the subjection of the great majority. It can't help but collapse as people get angrier, as they are now in the USA. It is unfocused anger at Capitalism that brought you Trump. He is just a stage in the process.
